Loud people versus quiet people

I'm quiet and DH is somewhere in between.

3 kids: 1 quiet, 1 in-between and 1 loud (we don't know where she came from

DH and I are both pretty quiet.

Our DS is a very loud talker, I have no idea where he got it from.

My dbf and I are very quiet people. To the point his family lovingly picks on us about it. I am a very shy person who is deaf in one ear, so social/large group situations are awkward and sometimes hard for me. I spend a lot of my time trying to follow the conversation instead of joining it. I joined a quilting bee with my dbf's mother and sister and some of their friends and it took me awhile to be able to join the conversation.

I am considered "loud" because I have a voice that carries well. My DH and DD are both annoyingly quiet in their speech, and you ask 'em to speak up but they just say the same thing over in the same volume, argh!!

ON the other hand, DH's speaking is quiet, but every night without fail he wakes me up when he comes to bed. He just CAN'T come to bed quietly!

Darsa, I love the new picture of your DD. She looks so much more mature than the old picture. She's lovely!!
