Just added 2 nights to our trip so we can go to US/IOA!!!!!!!!!!!!

EXCITING:pinkbounc

Anyway, we are a group of 10 booked into 2 rooms at the Radisson across the street - here are my questions.

1) Do they have 2 day 2 park tickets....cant find them on their website.

2) How big are the rooms in the Radisson as we are getting 2 rooms with 2 cots.....very crowded with a cot or no.

3) How are the breakfasts at the Radisson. Table served, buffet, good, bad.

4) How late does the last shuttle bus leave at night andddddd

5) What happens if we miss it - we have always rented a car - this is the first time we arent.

6) CABS???? Can you get one to take you there and back...are they sitting there outside Universal...do you have to call. How many fit in one - will 5 people fit in one cab so we would only need 2 or do they only fit 4 (we will be walking if that is the case - arggghhhh)

7) Citywalk - can kids go in the clubs - they ARE included in 2 day tickets (I think?).

8) Again - how do you get back to your hotel if you go to Citywalk...I think the parks are closing at 6 or 7 at the time we are going.

9) Can we put the kids on airbeds and save the money on the cots or is this illegal or something. This would bring me back to the question of ...

10) How big are those rooms anyway.

Thank you....I have looked at their website and they do not list square footage or I could figure this out myself.

Hi- I've never stayed at the Radisson so I don't know how much I can help but I could not resist replying to someone from my beloved hometown!
First of all the Radisson is about as close as you can get (distance wise) without actually being onsite. If you really wanted to you could even walk it, though I would not recommend doing that. If it came down to taking a cab it would certainly be less expensive than if you stayed anywhere else except onsite.
As I said before I do not know about their rooms and rates. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn right across the street from the Radisson- I paid 89 for a beautiful suite which held 5 very easily (2 queen beds in the bedroom and a queen size convertible in the living room) It had 2 tv's 2 sinks in the vanity area, a full kitchen including a dishwasher and a large living room, not just a sitting area like some "suite style" hotels offer. I got this rate with the Entertainment Book the first week of mardi gras.
While I am sure the Radison is a nice place (I intend to try it myself soon), if your reservations are not set in stone you might want to consider Holiday Inn only because I can vouch for the fact that the suite was very clean and comfortably roomy.
As to park admissions, there is almost always a "buy 2 get the third day free" deal going on for either AAA or Discover card customers. Right now I think there is a deal offering 5 days for less than the cost of 2 full day admissions. Again I am not the best authority for ticket deals since I own an annual pass.
If the breakfasts or any other meals at the Radisson is not to your liking there is a TGIFridays on the ground floor of the Holiday Inn across the street that serves a decent buffet breakfast and great late night treats. There is also a Cracker Barrel and a Denny's within walking distance. Cracker Barrel is a homey/country store type place, cute decor, with pricey but wonderfully cooked meals in large portions.
Citywalk is the buffer between the parking areas and the park entrances, so you are actually closer to your hotel after the parks close and you head to Citywalk to continue your fun for the evening. You don't state the ages of your kids, but as far as I know they are welcome anyplace at Citywalk, I have never been told my 11 & 13 year olds were not welcome anywhere I went, but then again I don't do the bar thing...
Well, looking at my post I really haven't answered many of your ?? but I know others here will, this is such a good board. Ijust saw Levittown and couldn't hold back LOL have a great visit!

Hi Vellamint!
You should be fine with a cot in room. Might need to scoot table w/ 2chairs over some. Rooms are clean & average size.
You'll like this place. Tons of cabs out front, they'll quote you 4 -5 dollars to Citywalk.
Only problem with Radisson to us, hard to find good parking spot close!
Ask for Universal view & a higher floor too!
Jim
