I had to stop by Michaels today and was pleasantly surprized! They have all kinds of new supplies, lots of the new Memories metals. But the coolest stuff was all the K&Co albums with matching papers (absolutley beautiful) and stickers. Also, alot of paper bliss packs that I will have to have and some adorable new embellishments similar to Jolee's. (The brand name slips my mind now, but I've never seen them out before) I was in a hurry, but I am itching to go back with a little time and alot of money!!!

Pam,

did you see the 'Hampton' plaids in the K & Co line? I love it. I bought some and I think I'm gonna sneak back up there Thursday while DH is at work and get some more of everything!!

I saw the huge MM section at the m's by mil's house...guess I'm gonna have to visit the old bag more often. :)

I think the Jolee's clone was 'sue dreamer'...I bought the just married set for a wedding album I'm doing. They were 40% off here. Too cute.

Yes, the plaid was beautiful. I loved all the flowered ones too, unfortunately with 3 ds I rarely have use for anything flowered. Actually, I just wanted all of them with the matching tags, stickers, and paper. Thursday Ihave a few hours to myself and I think that's where I'll be heading to.

Pammy Jo- I too was very surprised when I went in a couple of weeks ago. It seemed like they had the same old stock forever, I was like a kid in a candy store looking at all the new embellishments! They also had plenty of new paper packs/sets. I bought a package of the open windows cardstock. Basically a very nice cardstock with holes in it, there is also matting that comes along, so you choose your pic, matt it and then place the cardstock over, it looks like you have had your pics matted for framing, the holes/cut outs are also bevelled-very nice! Enough supplies to do 2 - 2 pages layouts.

I'm going to try describing what I did with the plaid.

I colored a piece of drywall tape brown and put it on the plaid. Over that I tore a piece of brown velvet, then punched eyelets and laced the velvet back together. On the lacing I hung cowboy themed bronze colored charms.

I then put a mat for my photo and then took a piece of parchment, print part of "I should've been a cowboy" on it, burned the edges to make it look old then slapped it on there. It is awesome if I must say so myself!!

Sometimes I'm so good, I scare *me*.:jester:

Beans mom I just read about using dry wall tape! And coloring it! It really is funny how scrapping and home Depot are blending nicely! HAHA You know wire, dry wall tape, hammers. mickey paint chips, plyers etc,,,

Beansmom, that sounds awsome. Can you get a pic and post it? I'd love to see it. I haven't tried coloring the drywall tape yet. What did you color it with?

Don't forget to look at the christmas stuff too, they had some really cute gingerbread men made out of clay I think, very thin however, it would easily go on a page. 99 cents for 3. They were with the ceramic gingerbread houses because I guess you are supposed to buy the house and then use all this stuff to decorate the house with. It will be great with my decorating gingerbread house pics I have from last year, they had cute little candy, etc all for this house.... They also have beads and charms and cool stuff with the christmas stuff, I'm going to have to go back next week. :D maggie
