Hi guys, remember me? I seem to be nearly a permanent lurker around here...

Anyway, I was thinking about the news from a few sources that Univeral could use the rights to Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter to create attractions.

While Harry Potter might not be too difficult to make an attraction on, (maybe some VR version of that game that they play? Sorry, I'm not an expert ;) )

But although I think about ways of creating attractions all the time, LOTR is the first concept where I can't really figure out what it could be.

I think the Lost Continent is the perfect place for such an attraction, but even just the first movie is so vast in scope, there's almost too much there to make an attraction on (and it's not easy to just make a short "sequel" attraction like T2: 3D or BTTF)

Any Ideas?

I don't really know what a ride could be since I really have only seen the one LOTR movie so far and don't know the further potential for a ride plot. However, if there is such an attraction to be made, I'd be willing to bet it'd be put in the next park Universal builds rather than an existing park.

Right. I can't really imagine one sigular ride, but more of a general experience. I can see them creating an entire "Middle Earth" area in a new park.

Creating an entire middle-earth would be ideal, not sure if they would actually do it, but then again, what other plans would they do for the next park I wonder?

Hopefully we'll hear more for the 3rd park in the next year or so.
