Lost!!!

I am very disappointed with it. You can give more answers and still have a great show, heck, just look at Heros, they give us answers all the time, and still keep us wanting more. Maybe the writers of Lost need to watch Heros for how to write a good show again.

THANK YOU!!!! This is why I LOVE Heroes, and am losing patience with Lost! Every week on Heroes, you find out something! Now "Lost" is trully living up to its name. Don't get me wrong, the show does have its good moments, but overall, I'm Lost. Now I'm just watching to see how/when it will end.

The show never goes anywhere, I accepted it. I just watch for the entertainment value and last night was full of it!

Hey, this is Lost. Nothing ever makes sense.

I did think it was weird that I had never seen these people before and they came and went in one episode. I wonder how many other passengers we'll hear about now.

They've been sneaking them in since the beginning of the season. They've been in a handful of episodes.

I think this was to answer some of the fan complaints about the rest of the survivors just laying on the beach while "our" survivors are doing all the work. Damon and Carlton always say that just because WE don't see them doing things doesn't mean they aren't. So one small reason for this episode I think was to shut those people up, to say, "See? These other people are out there exploring and finding things too and have been since the beginning. The main characters aren't the only people investigating the jungle out there."

I think we will see them again, I don't know how or in what condition.

But, John Lockes quote "Nothing on this Island Stays Buried" when he was talking to Paulo burying the statue, seems important.

George

Plus Damon and Carlton said when all is said and done, they will be iconic characters. Nothing in the episode made them iconic. . . their death could be pretty iconic for the show (heck, iconic for TV history) but as characters, nothing iconic about them. I'd imagine that in the future they will be revisited in some form to show some significance to the series.

For those of you who don't think we're given answers, go back and re-watch Season 1. It's amazing how many answers they've snuck in that you don't even realize until you go back and watch those old episodes. So many things that had me SO puzzled when it first aired make total sense now.

Sure there are still some big questions they haven't answered, but honestly I believe that most have been addressed. The big ones are the ones we aren't going to know until the series ends - they're not going to give away the big secrets that bind all the shows storylines.

I thought it was a great episode!

Paulo deserves to die. He knew they were coming for Jack, Kate, Sawyer and never said anything? :rolleyes1

It had so many good moments. From Sun slapping Sawyer to Sawyer yelling "Who the hell are you!" :rotfl:

I love Hurley telling Desmond that his super powers sucked. :lmao:

Anyways I enjoyed it. :)

I loved that Charlie told sun about what he did... she now has dirt on him that can get him into huge trouble with the group. Combine this with Dezmond's flashes and there's good potential for Charlie to be torn between his own safety and staying in good graces with Claire.

Hurley is a simple guy but I think he's in touch with the island more than he knows. The "monster" definitly played a part in the spider attack on the girl (you could hear the cab reciept printer sound just before the spiders rallied against her)

I love the themes good guys verses bad guys... monsters... who ARE the good guys? What is the monster?
... as pointed out we can be monsters to each other. This episode had at least five examples of that.

I thought that was a producer joke on us. The viewers were saying the same thing.:lmao:

I liked the episode, but have no idea how it really relates to what's going on. DH & I thought it didn't make any sense in regards to what is currently going on with the show. Any ideas how this one is fitting in?

Dh & I are on the same page as you. What was the point of the episode? DH kept saying, wait give it time. It stunk, it gave us another week with no answers, but they had to give us a show. If the cancel Lost, I am not going to lose sleep over it. I am very disappointed with it. my dh is getting done with it
they dont connect enough stuff together they to much out there

I agree with the above posters! This has dragged on for so long with no real answers it has gone beyond frustrating!!
We also watch Jericho and even though that show has given us no answers as to what happened we don't feel the same sense of getting jipped that we get from Lost.
We are convinced the writers have no clue where they're going and are just making up crap as they go along.

I read that the writers have been unsure how much to solve since they had no clear idea how long the show would last. They've been working out a definite plan lately and supposedly things will move along at a faster clip now. They just needed an end date for some reason.

Personally, I like the show just as it is. Great characters, fun episodes and just overall interesting things going on. I don't really need answers to enjoy it.

I read that people were writting in asking what happened to all the other survivers and how come there were no stories on them when there were so many of them alive. All DH and I could figure is that it just had to do with that. Just letting us know that the other survivers are surviving,,,,or NOT.

wow they really can't win either way....

all season 1 and 2 all people wanted to know who the other beach people were and what they were doing. So they introduce 2 of them and everyone hates them. So they kill them off and people are unhappy about that.

There have been answers. What burning questions are totally out there?

For our losties it has only been 80 days...not 3 years.

Enjoy the ride w/out worring about the destination.

Question: Why was Ethan in this episode? He told them to go inland to find the suitcase:confused3 What are your thoughts? DH is just watching this now & I noticed this.

Because it was in a flashback to the day of the plane crash. When the others saw the plane coming down Ben told Ethan to go to the beach and pretend to be one of the survivors and told Goodwin to go to the tail section to pretend to be one of the survivors.

I liked the episode. I have liked the last few too. I know many people are sick of it and have lost hope that anything will be answered.
I just enjoy what's on. I try not to get fed up.

Enjoy the show for what it is. If you want spoilers, go to the spoiler websites.
There are lots of them.

I remember that I'm just wondering if there is a reason he directed them into the jungle?

They did come out of the woodwork, and it bugged me that the writers just "came up" with their story.

According to Carlton Cuse and a couple of the writers, Nikki and Paolo's story has been in the works since season one. They have been waiting for the right time to weave their story into the storyline. I listen to the Lost podcast with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. That really helps me to understand a little better what they are doing with the show.

also DH & I were trying to figure out what happened to Rose & her husband? Did we miss something last year? We didn't think they died or got captured but all of a sudden they're not around?

Again from the podcast, Damon and Carlton have said the Rose and Bernard will be back this season. They wanted to bring them back when they would have something for them to do. Not just to be background. Rose and Bernard are considered recurring characters, not regular characters.

In case anyone is interested, here is a link to the podcast:

They were showing how Ethan joined the group...

I also highly recommend the podcasts. They are a bit spolierish but nothing horrible and they answer nearly all the questions I see asked week after week on the Lost threads here.
