LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

So any guesses on what or who is in the hatch? My guess is that it's people who were stranded there a long time ago and have found it safer to live underground. Maybe it's a sub or something with living quarters.
Don't have a guess, just wanted to say...

Awwww, I love your new tag :cutie:

It could also be that some of them only signed 1 year contracts with no intention of doing more than 1 season. There are actors who don't want to do series TV, they don't want to be stuck doing the same character, they want their options open to do movies, theater, and other things. It could also be that when they signed to do this show they already had other things set up for when it would finish shooting for the season and can't get out of it, so they are going to leave, then come back later.

The majority of them were unknowns so I doubt there are many who want to leave. They've hit the jackpot with this show.
Out of all the characters Naveen (Sayid) strikes me as someone who might want to go. In interviews he just doesn't seem as into the job as others on the show.

How many besides Sayid have been known for other things? Claire had been on Roswell for a couple of seasons and Jin was on Angel for a year or so

Jack was on Party of Five.
Locke has been on lots of TV shows. Most notably Alias and Jag.
Michael was on Oz and in one of the Matrix movies.
Charlie was in Lord of the Rings
Hurley was on Becker and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Hmmm...kind of disproving my own statement that they were all unknowns, hehe.

Let's remember that Abrams is a master of the craft. If he can create a set of memorable characters like this once, he can do it again, and if he feels the need to go in that direction, I'd credit his experience and artistry to be making the right decision.

I wouldn't. :teeth: Just kidding, but seriously, I can't get into Alias at all. Didn't he do Felicity, too? That show started out very well and then just went downhill. I hope they make the right decision, but a lot of people are going to be upset even if they do it well, you know?

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that some of Abrams decisions are based on what he learned from his experiences with Felicity and Alias -- that unconventional twists he injects into the program may indeed be a reflection of his experience.

Things that stood out for me:

mr asks: Is turnip head evil?
Kristin_Veitch replies: He is HUGE.

Kristin_Veitch replies: Hmm, funny you speak of an explosion, for that gives you a hint on LOST

Kristin_Veitch replies:I can tell you only that it involves someone being taken, and others left with their lives hanging in the balance.

prudiebel asks: Is this week the raft episode on Lost? I don't want to see Sawyer go!
Kristin_Veitch replies: Me either, but he most definitely is. :(

Kristin_Veitch replies: We'll see LOTS of the four boys at sea, and what happens out there will shock the daylights out of you.

acerp asks: Is there something going on between Turnip Head and Walt?
Kristin_Veitch replies: Mmm-hmm.

So the baby will play a major part in the story? But he's not necessarily evil. What will explode? Is there a volcano on the island? Will the hatch explode? Who's being taken? The baby? About Sawyer, I hope she means he's going on the raft...not off the show. Four boys and not four men? Sounds like Walt is on that raft. Wonder if he'll do something freaky? I thought Kate was trying to get on the raft? Well if something is going on with the baby and Walt, we can assume Walt is safe for a while.

I was a huge fan of Alias when it first came on. Then after a while I totally lost interest. I couldn't even tell you when it came on. The only reason I'm watching it again is because it's on after Lost, and even then I can take it or leave it. If I have something better to do, I don't watch it. I think it's a good show, but something about it has turned me off and I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe too much has happened since I quit watching and I'm too lost.
Anyway, I think the biggest beef (and I agree JJ is a master but this is worth taking into consideration) is that viewers get attached to the characters on a show. Very few shows can rotate characters continuously and keep the viewers tuning in. As I said before I didn't really care for the Boone character, but now find myself missing him and wishing I knew more of his story. I hope these spoilers are a little misleading and we won't be losing lots of cast members. Bring on new ones if you want, but leave the main characters alone for a while.
Having said that, I don't think I would stop watching based on character's leaving unless the plot goes downhill. I do think the writers have the ability to change the direction of the show if characters were to be killed off or leave. I just hope they stay in touch with what the viewers want or the show will be nothing more than a fad.

Yes, a new show is on tonight.

I was just thinking, even though they killed Boone off and are talking about killing other characters off, they can still be on the show in the "back stories". So, I think we may still see Boone, even though he was "killed off", or at least I hope so ;)

I seriously doubt Kristen would risk losing her contacts by spilling something so huge as Sawyer dying. Remember she didn't come right out and say Boone was the one dying, why would she spill Sawyer?

It's been rumored that the finale will go back to the airport before they got on to the plane, so we are surely to see Boone there!

Can't wait for tonight!! :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

I think all Kristen was saying is that Sawyer gets on the raft. Not that he dies. She would never spill that.
