LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

I remember them burying him, but I also remember screaming at the tv that they should cut his head off or something first. lol. too much buffy I think.

You know, I've been telling my family that Ethan really isn't dead at all; every time somebody heads off into the jungle, I keep expecting Ethan to pop out from behind a tree or something.

Me too. I just don't think that storyline is finished, but maybe I am expecting too much!

There has to be more to both Ethan and the insane French lady

I agree! I don't think we've seen the last of Ethan (or possibly more like him).

Okay, Stephen King thinking here. I wonder if the reason that Ethan wanted the baby is because maybe he was thinking that the babies blood would be "pure". I suddenly thought about the Stephen King book "The Stand" where most of the people had died because of a super flu and one of the characters was pregnant when the flu epidemic hit. When the baby was born it at first got sick then was able to fight off the flu, the baby developed an anti-body to it. Maybe this is the same thing, the baby might be the key to fighting off whatever the French lady told Sayid to be on the lookout for.
Good theory!

New from Spoilerfix today:
05/05 - In Part 1 of the two-part season finale, the day of the plane crash is recalled as Rousseau (Mira Furlan) shocks the survivors with a warning about "the others." Meanwhile, Jin and Michael wrap up preparations for the raft's maiden voyage. Source: TV Guide Online

Hey, my TV Guide says there's a segment on 20/20 tonight about LOST!

I forgot about that till I saw your post--they're talking to the cast, I've got to see it!

The Lost part of 20/20 was only 30 minutes long. They didn't give much info, other than that we, the audience, apparently know more than what the characters know re the backstories, which makes a difference in how the show is viewed. Apparently no one knows what the monster is.

Terry O'Quinn was asked what he was looking at in the scene where he sees the monster, and he was told that it was "The most beautiful thing he had ever seen" or something like that.

They talked to Boone. :( He seemed so upset about the death and said it was really hard to shoot the death scene. He said he has gotten close to Jack so seening Jack have to do the death scene also made it hard for him.

This is Kate's first speaking gig as an actress. As the female lead, I think she was one of the last to be hired.

Sawyer was about to give up and quit acting when he got this gig.

Hurley is apparently america's favorite, according to 20/20.

Sun originally auditioned for Kate's part but didn't get it. They liked her so much that they created the characters of Sun and Jin just for her.

They apparently were really excited about having Micheal act in Lost. They loved his previous work.

They showed some parallells with their influences. Pregnant Kate = the lady in Rosemary's baby (Can't remember who). The hand coming out of the ground when Jack/Charlie dig out of the cave = the end of Carrie when the hand comes out of the ground. Their biggest influence is Twilight Zone. They pretty much said that Lost ISN'T purgatory and that they thought any sort of "This was all a dream" ending would be a big let down.

Walt doesn't want anyone in the cast to die.

I'm sure I missed some things. In a nutshell, nothing new re the plot was revealed.

Sayid was on there...Can't remember what he/they said, though. Sorry!! I remember getting a kick out of hearing him speak with his real accent. :) But I really don't remember what was said. I'm sure someone else does, though. :) I was cleaning my house while watching, so I guess I was doing some serious cleaning during that part. ;)

I'm trying to remember what the actor who plays Sayid said but nothing comes to mind yet. I do remember the actor who plays Jin saying he was happy to be playing a lead character and that lead parts are rare for asian actors. He also said in his seven years of acting, it was his first on screen kiss, and that romantic scenes between asians are also rare.

The producers really seemed to go after the actor who plays Michael so I'm no longer so sure his character is about to die. Why would they pursue him just to cut him out after the first season?

There was talk about the ethnic diversity of the show...the actor who plays Sayid may have commented on that.

Real accent??? Now this is getting too good
English/British accent, and yes, very interesting to hear him speak.

I rolled the tape back just for you and here's what Sayid/Naveen had to say:

Naveen: There's this group of different races, cultures, backgrounds, and uh, it's a kind of microcosm, I think, of society at the moment.

Elizabeth: Somebody in the cast called it a mini United Nations.

Naveen: Thats nice. What's interesting is that you find characters are suddenly set free from the way they were defined in the other world.

That's pretty much it!

While on the subject of accents, it certainly was strange to hear Jin speak without a trace of a Korean accent. Sun has a trace of an accent.

Charlie sounded the same as in the show.

Kate sounded a little more Canadian to me than on the show.

Sawyer sounded the same.

The following was in this week's Entertainment Weekly. Lost cocreator Damon Lindelof supplied the answers.

Mystery: Locke has been desperately trying to open a hidden portal in the jungle floor that radiates light through its window. What the heck is it?

Creator's Hint: The season finale focuses on the opening of the hatch, but it'd be a spoiler to say what, if anything, they find.

Mystery: A massive creature has been raising bloody hell all over the island. Will we finally get a look at the heretofore unseen beast?

Creator's Hint: You'll see at least 2% of the monster--potentially 5%. Which is good. That would be like seeing the toes. If it had toes.

Mystery: Before he died, Boone made brief contact through an airplane radio with...well, someone. Who was it? And what did this person say to him?

Creator's Hint: In the finale [viewers] will begin to intuit the transmission's source. It's one of the most important pieces of plot for season 2.

Mystery: Rest in peace Boone. Okay, that's enough grieving. Will we soon be parting company with another one of our survivors?

Creator's Hint: Not everybody might be coming back; that doesn't necessarily mean we're killing people...The finale delivers on life-and-death stakes.

Mystery: Will we discover the true meaning of Hurley's cursed lottery numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42), which also happen to be imprinted on the hatch?

Creator's Hint: The finale's last 10 minutes focus on the numbers in a non-obilique way. The numbers bring people to the island; the larger mystery is, Why?

I think the shoe factory was in Canada and the box company was in Oregon or Washington State.
The box company was in California====connections: Locke worked in a box company in CA and Hurley owned one.......how many box companies in CA??
