Does anyone know if you can get a ticket to replace a lost one that does not expire? This isn't for me but for my mom. She misplaced on of her 5 day tickets that does not expire. I think she has only used one of the days on the ticket. I didn't know if there was anything she could do or not....

Thanks for your help,

While I've never lost a ticket of my own, I have been with friends who've lost theirs. Unfortunately, they were never able to get a replacement. They were told this is because the tickets are not "person specific". :confused3

What I would do if I were her would be to call Disney itself. They most certainly can give you the best answer.

If she has a copy of the back of the ticket or the receipt with the ticket number than it can be replaced. Otherwise, unfortunately, no!

The first thing I do is make a photocopy of the back of my tickets just in case. I have had to have a ticket replaced and it was quick and easy at guest relations with the photocopy.

eta - It can only be done at guest relations while at WDW.

Ahhh. Never heard this before. My friends were unable to replace their lost tickets even with the receipt. (Maybe because they were Florida resident tix?) :confused3

You should be able to get one, but only at a Customer Service window at WDW. Not before you go. They told us that it had to be in person and could only be done at a park, not even at one of the resorts/or Disney hotels.
I asked about this last visit, Oct.'04. I was told by a CM that it was possible to get a replacement because of the computer tracking system they have. And we did lose a ticket in MK one day, and got it replaced at Town Hall. All we had to do then was show a ID. It was for DS who did not have ID, but since we had all entered at the same time they had a record of use for the ticket, each use/day/year/park. Kinda neat spooky...This was also a multi day Park Hopper that had been used on a prior trip, and the orginal ticket had 2 or 3 days and some extras left on it. Hope this helps.

Wow, if the receipt had the numbers they should have been able to get it replaced. Do they still have the receipt - perhaps it was an uninformed CM they could try again?? (Esp if they are in FL)

I used the original purchase receipt from the Disney store once, the clerk specificly told me to keep the receipt separate just in case - and she was right.

The other, most recent time, I used the photo copy I had, thanks to advice from posters on this board!!

Don't know if the MYW tickets are easier to replace but I got into the habit of making at least one copy of all our tickets asap after purchase.

I want to add that these were "one day" tickets. (Not length or stay or anything like that).

We had all bought our FL resident tix at the World Showcase entrance right off the path from the Beach Club. We went into Epcot, spent most of the day and then headed over to MK.

When we arrived at MK, they realized they had lost their tickets. As idofabric mentioned, my friends were also told told they could only speak to a CS rep in a park (not a resort).

Even though they could produce their receipt and FL drivers license, they were unable to get replacement tickets. They went off to one side with the CSR, so we didn't hear all that took place. I do know that they did wind up purchasing new tickets.

well...that was fairly confusing. Some say Yes others say No. The one thing I gathered is that you have to do it in Disney. See I myself cannot find my ticket (it was actually my room key but it had my tickets on it) My husband has his, bt we are unable to find mine :( I was thinking we'd have to just purchase me an extra ticket and he'd just use the one he had left over. I guess it won't hurt to ask when we get there.

Room key is much different. Go back to the hotel where you bought it. Do you have your receipt?

This is what we tell guests who buy tickets (I work for The Disney Store). They are handed a receipt and they are handed an activation receipt. I, personally, always staple the two together. We always inform them to keep the tickets separate from the receipts because if you lose the tickets, you at least have proof that you did have them. We tell them that in the event that a ticket is lost or stolen, WDW requires the activation receipt in order to reissue new tickets. The sales receipt (at least the ones from TDS) only show that a ticket was purchased...it doesn't give them any information as far as the activation number, etc. As far as they know, you could have already used that ticket and are trying to get another one....which is why they have required the activation receipt. This allows them to deactivate the old ones and reissue new ones. Now if you're ordering tickets directly from disneyworld.com or by calling, your sales receipt may also be the activation receipt...I don't know. Bear in mind I'm just speaking from the Disney Store side of things because ours sales receipts does NOT have the required information....it's the activation receipt that the guest also receives that is what's needed.

Well, they purge their records out of the hotel database and move them to another location. Depending on how much time has passed, you might have an uphill climb.

This makes perfect sense!
