Lost - Season Six (Spoilers Welcome)

I loved last night's episode! My family and I spent a lot of time just looking at each other saying, "What?" As always, they answer a few questions, but leave you with new questions.

Loved seeing Boone! So happy that Ian is on Vampire Diaries so I can watch him every week now. Confused about Desmond being on the plane, but loved seeing him! I hope this isn't the last time we see him.

About the only thing that didn't surprise me was the man in black being the smoke monster. I had that one figured out at the end of last season.;)

Can't wait 'til next week!

I think Jacob is now Sayid. I also think Jacob was Christian. Christian was in Jacob's cabin. The cabin had ash around it to keep smokey/guy in black out. But at one point the ash circle was broken so I'm confused about Christian. I do think Jacob is Sayid though. I also think Claire was dead and was inhabited. It seems Jacob and guy in black (does he have a name) can inhabit or impersonate dead people.

Where was Mr. Echo? He was on the plane too...... I was looking for him last night and never saw him either. HMMMMMM

Also, I didn't see the woman whose real name is Michelle Rodriguez I think. I can't remember what her name on the show was. I hate when this happens..... She was a police-woman....UGH! She was on the plane too.

Neither were Michael and Walt's or Libby.....lot of island people we didnt see, but that doesnt necessarily mean they werent on the plane somewhere.

I dont think Eko is supposed to be back, but Micahel is at somepoint this season, probably just to yell ""WAAAALLLLLT" or "They took my boy"

I don't think Jacob could be in Sayid the same way Man in Black was in Locke. Locke's dead body was still there. So where is Sayid's dead body?

I love reading all your thoughts. I'm just not sure what to think at this point!!! I have NO imagination at all.

Anyway, I read something last night that said we'll be seeing lots of flashbacks, maybe flash forwards, and even sideways flashes for about 1/3 of the season. After that, it is suppose to be 1 straight story line. I wish I'd remember where I read that. I'd link to it if I could.

That makes me think we're going to understand it all, sooner rather than latter, and that it's possible we'll spend the remainder of the season cheering on our favorites to survive to the conclusion. Of course, what do I know?

Every season I get frustrated because I think people make this show far more complicated than it needs to be. The writers tell you everything you need to know. Trust what you see and believe. If you just relax it is all there. I think this gets more and more true as the seasons go on. It isn't real so we do have to suspend reality and believe that anything can happen.

Timeline 1

Flight 815 crashes in 2004 - this is everything we've seen, all the flash backs, all the "flash forwards" off island, all the time traveling back to 1977, the Ajera flight...all of it happened just like we saw it.

When Juliet set off the bomb it created 2 time lines and send the original losties back to the present hence Jacob's "they're coming" as he died. The Original timeline is in lostie present time (2007?) Remember the Losties were off island for nearly 3 years before coming back on the Ajera flight.

Timeline 2 was created when the bomb detonated (sinking the island?). This timeline STARTS at that moment so everything we saw in the original flashbacks could or could not have happened on this timeline. We know anything we saw prior to 1977 happened but after that we don't know yet what did/didn't happen. We pick up this timeline in 2004 when Oceanic 815 lands at LAX.

The producers have called it a 'flash sideways' they aren't completely parallel but enough that we should be able to get the picture.

Patience does pay off because they do answer the questions. They might not be in big flashing letters but the answers are there.

So what did we learn last night? What was answered?

*The smoke monster = the man in black = fLocke, so know we know that the smoke monster can take the form of dead people (Christian, Alex...Claire? Charlie off island?)

*Cindy and the tailie kids have joined and been with the 'others' the entire time (this we really already knew)

*We now know what Richard and the others did to Ben to 'save' him

*We can assume that Richard was a prisoner on the Black Rock. We saw the Black Rock coming to the island while Jacob and the MIB were there. We also saw the the Back Rock had people chained up. We know from fLocke that Richard escaped from the chains. Sometimes 1+1+1 does = 3

What else? What did you guys get that I'm missing?

My son thinks that Richard was in chains on the slave ship..............

I missed Richard in chains???:confused3

I agree that Jacob now inhabit Sayid's body, BUT the smoke monster is impersonating Locke - Locke's body was on the beach when the fake Locke dragged the other guy away.

Yep, you're right, my bad.

A nice touch from last night - when Kate, Jack, etc. were in the temple and Cindy (the stewardess) came in and had the kids give them some food/water, the kids were the ones from the tail section of the plane - the kids that Ana Lucia and Libby comforted. Kind of letting us know the kids were ok.:)

Yep, I agree with all of this.:thumbsup2 (although I missed Richard in chains - have to re-watch last night's episode).

I think that Ben has failed the test and deemed not worthy. I wonder if the "monster" (if we're allowed name calling - roflmao), is unable to kill Ben? I guess we can conclude that he's 100% unable to kill Jacob. Why did he not kill Ben though?

I just keep feeling like everyone is constantly being tested.

While I did initially feel that Jacob took over Sayid's body (and maybe he has temporarily), I honestly feel that Sayid is very deserving of the final reward and that his soul will be reunited with his body. It's like, he's a chosen one if you will.

That would make it 2007, not 2009/2010.

Richard was one of the Slaves on the Black Rock. It was a mining ship. They found skeletons in chains when they went to get explosives.

The year in Timeline 1 is now 2007. They crashed in 2004, were rescued after 108 days.

Star Trek showed that two Spocks can live in one alternate timeline.

The explosion in 1977 showed that they sunk the island and farther reaching effects than just what happened to them. Nice they showed the Dharma shark before they got to the foot of the statue of Tawaret.

Not all questions will be answered on the show. Only if the main characters have had an interaction with the thing needing answers.

Libby will return this season.

I feel the same way!

I didn't even remember that.:thumbsup2 Of course, I can't remember what happened thirty minutes ago. Now, that "chains" statement that "Locke" made makes sense.

Now that's funny! :rotfl2:

And lets take a look at who directed the Star Trek reboot and who produced it and who is writing the sequel.

I think the 2 may have a lot more in common than originally thought.

Hurley speaks to someone very close to Richard's past and conveys this person's message to Richard. Definite tearjerker on par with when we first meet Bernand and he finds out Rose is okay in season 2.

- Man in Black has a true nemesis - and it's not Jacob.

By the way, the MIB's name is Randall...as an homage to The Stand.

-"Happily Ever After" marks Desmond's full return - his centric episode as well. His "flash-sideways" feature Charlie, Daniel, Penny, Mommy, Jack, Widmore, and Claire. Widmore and Desmond share some of that famous scotch. Des has to make a very, very big sacrifice.

- "Everybody Loves Hugo" marks the return of Libby and Michael. Michael is a ghost on island and Libby and Hurley date in his "flash-sideways." Locke gets run over.

Definite possible spoiler ALERT:

Again, I don't know where I read it, but last night I read that Desmond would be returning to the island WITH Penny.

I certainly am not able to say that with 100% certainty, but I did read it.
