Just found this thread!!! Wooo hoooo am I ever glad to have found it.

Anty, the spoilers you posted... are those different rumors about this ep from different sources? Just curious.

I'm so glad to have found this. The folks on my cruise meet thread were talking about Lost and I figured I'd start watching it so we'd have something in common to talk about. Little did I know that a couple of weeks later I would have watched all of the eps from ep1 through now and be jonesing for more!! :-)

Oh, since I'm a latecomer, would someone explain the magic behind the year 2010? Do we know the last ep's going to be aired then? How?

Thanks!!!!!!

The producers wanted to come up with a firm end-date so they could have a better idea of how to lay out the rest of the story. Last year they agreed to run for 3 more 16-eposide seasons. That means that the series finale will air sometime in May 2010.

Welcome to the thread Hypermommy:)

I'm just bummed we have to wait until the 24th for a new episode. From what I've been reading it looks like the remaining episodes are going to be really good:thumbsup2

I hate to have to wait that long, too. I also hate that it's going to air at 10p.m. instead of 9p.m. when it comes back.

I don't mind the 10:00 time slot, since I watch Grey's too, and that'll be on at 9:00, but I knew that would be a problem as soon as Lost moved to Thursday nights. I don't know why it doesn't go back to Wed nights now, especially since ABC's Wed night's shows aren't coming back until the fall.

I am not a fan of the 10pm slot.

I have to get up for work @ 5:30 and it's not like once the episode it over @ 11 I can go right to sleep very well.....I'll end up lying there thinking about what I just watched.

I wish it were back to Weds @ 9 as well, but don't think they wanted it up against the Idol results show.

I hadn't thought of that. I've now started working at 8:00 AM on Friday mornings. Though theoritically if I do go to bed right after Lost, and fall asleep right away, I still get seven hours of sleep, but what are the chances of that happening? I'll be lucky if I get six hours of sleep, and Fridays I almost always work double shifts.

The time slot doesn't bother me. We can't watch it until the kids are in bed anyway. What I can't get used to is Thursday nights. Wednesday always comes around and I get excited that it's on and remember it's on Thursday now. Big bummer. Then a couple of weeks ago I had another big bummer when I realized that it wasn't coming back until the end of April. They're killing me!

The time slot doesn't bother me either. I just wish they would pick one and stick with it.

To be fair, if the writer's strike hadn't happened, we probably wouldn't be having this problem right now.

I'm a little confused, could you guys share with me the new time slot?

Lost is on Thursdays at 10pm (eastern time, I think), but used to play on Wednesdays at 9.

And the wait is making me craaaazy.

It's official....the 2 hour finale will now air on May 29th. There will be no episode the week of May 22nd.

Allow me to explain. With a 14th hour of Lost now a done deal, the show's finale will swell to three hours. But, in what can only be described as an unorthodox scheduling move, the first hour of that finale will air on May 15, and then we have to wait two weeks — until May 29 — to get the last two hours! That's right, no Lost on May 22.

Why?

Apparently, Darlton convinced ABC that the final two hours had to air together. And with the finales of Grey's and Ugly Betty already slated for May 22 at 8 and 9 pm respectively, ABC really had no other choice than to sked Lost's two-hour exit for May 29. That, in turn, created a hole on May 22 at 10 pm — hence the net's decision to tack an extra hour onto the Grey's finale.

"We are very excited and grateful to [ABC president] Steve McPherson for working out the scheduling difficulties to allow us to make the second part of our finale two hours," says exec producer Carlton Cuse. "Damon and I were working on the script and we just couldn't get it all done in one hour without shortchanging the story. Now the finale will have all the sweep and emotional completeness we wanted it to have — along with, of course, answering who's in the coffin."

Getting back to actual SPOILERS.

Jin, Locke and Sawyer are all on the island...in the future...and they are all alive.

Interesting! I really can't wait until it comes back. Though I hate that we have to skip a week after getting a bunch of new ones.
