This is a ploy by the networks to keep people from changing the channel at the top of the hour.... a lead in to the next show. I started DVRing the show after it last year because they did that so much!

They do it after several of the BIG Nielsen shows, keeps us DVR and Tivo people on our toes!

Yeah, they do that with ER, it has started at 9:59 for years now, which is a big pain since I watch CSI. I always miss the first minute or two of ER because of it.

I wouldn't go quite that far but this has potential this season.

Only trouble is, I wonder how far into the season we'll get before the real plot is advanced (what is that computer room for? Who put it there? etc.)
