Why did he take her money and where did the guy go who was supposed to be in the car? I loved the episode but I'm a bit confused.

Once a con man, always a con man. He's a snake (he's a sexy snake though )and just could not do the right thing. The guy was never in the car. He lied.

I think that was Jack. He got in Locke's face and told him they were going to see what happened. Locke did NOT look pleased.

Ah, ok yep that's probably right. I know Jack and Locke were in each other's faces, but I wasn't sure which one was upset about the timer thing...Jack would probably make more sense.

I guess I am in the minority but I really don't like where this is going. I remember reading about the manuscript (not on a spoiler thread, just an article so I don't know much) a while back and being really disappointed in the whole idea. I'm holding out hope that I just pictured it totally different than it is going to be...

Okay, who saw the title of the manuscript that Hurley found?? It was called The Bad Twin. Well, this is an actual book, being released in conjunction with Lost, about a set of twins. Well, this is what Amazon.com says about the author

Interesting! What's this kind of "marketing" called? It's almost like a crossover. I like this type of thing, make it's almost "interactive." I'm going to have to read the book!

I enjoyed this episode. Was very surprised at the end with Charlie! As bad as Sawyer is, I was GLAD that someone FINALLY stood up to Jack!

Next week looks GREAT! I hope they dont give us a cliffhanger right when the countdown hits 0.

Well, last night's episode certainly took some interesting twists and turns!! DW Lauri and I were sure that Ana was behind Sun's attempted kidnapping. We sure didn't expect Charlie to be involved.

The time warp Lala mentioned is an interesting thought. I've wondered for a while if the plane crashed when it went through a wormhole into an alternate reality or through a time warp. If that's the case, it's possible they could be nowhere near the South Pacific.

Perhaps the island started as a research facility but is now some sort of colony of sorts for Hanso Foundation experiments that failed and the scientists who made mistakes and have to stay and correct them. I don't know; I'm just throwing out ideas.

And this begs the question -- what happens when the countdown reaches 0? The island reverts back to real time / space?

We really enjoyed the episode last night!! So was Sawyer even "good" on the island, or has it all been an act??

Also, did anything of interest happen at the very beginning? I came in when Hurley was talking to Sayid about the radio. Anything happen before that? (I was watching the Grammys and all of a sudden I noticed my VCR was not recording for some reason so we just watched lost instead, and I"m SO glad we did!!)

It doesn't say anything about Charlie being the one who attacked Sun though. That's the part I missed. Can someone recap the exchange between Charlie and Sawyer at the end, please.

Everytime I watch LOST I get mad at myself for not recording it in case I miss something. Really gotta start doing that.

Sawyer went out into the woods and met with Charlie. They talked and Sawyer assured him no one suspected a thing. Then Sawyer offered him one of the Virgin Marys with the heroin, but Charlie said no. All Charlie wanted was to see Locke humiliated.

When Sawyer met with Charlie in the woods, and they went over everything, Charlie said "Sun can never know what I did." So we knew then that it was Charlie who grabbed her.

Nevermind Sun, JIN can never know what he did...holy crap, the man is an assassin.

All Charlie wanted was to see Locke humiliated.

I also missed the beginning of the episode. I went out to dinner with co-workers and underestimated how long dinner would take. I always set my VCR before a trip for shows I might miss due to dinner plans, but never expected to be out past 9:00. I was able to pick up on most of what happened based on where I came in, but I didn't get how Charlie intended to humiliate Locke.

by making him look like a fool for 'losing' the guns. Locke was going to hide the guns from Jack & the rest. Charlie made sure Saywer found the guns so Sawyer can take over or whatever.
Charlie is annoyed with Locke over the drugs and Shannon & the baby. So by humilitaing Locke he feels he is getting some kind of revenge on him.

Did anybody catch when Sayid and Hurley were listening to the music on the radio - Hurley said something about the station being close by and Sayid said the signal could be miles away - it bounces off the ionisphere. Sayid said we could be anywhere and then Hurley said made some comment about or "when".

For any Deadwood and Lost fans did you notice Sawyers girlfriend/con also plays Joanie Stubbs on Deadwood? I thought that was pretty cool since DW and Lost are two of my favorites.

I also thought when they got the radio to work, the call letters for the station were W something which would mean it was coming from the US East of the Mississippi right?
