LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

I wonder if Charlie could be "infected" since he was acting totally weird and, from what we saw, had not started using again. Maybe Charlie was "infected" with these dreams of Aaron to get Claire to baptise Aaron so he would be considered "good" and then the others could take him. **PLEASE NOTE I'm not saying if you are not baptised you aren't good, I'm just saying this for the purposes of the show.**

I thought the scenes with Sawyer and Hurley were so funny. When Sawyer yelled "Hey Libby" and then walked into his little hut leaving Hurley sitting there was hysterical.

I don't get why Locke kept the statues, is that to somehow keep Charlie under control somehow? I was a little confused last night. I agree with others, this episode seemed really out of place and didn't answer anything for me.

I thought last night was kinda lame. I haven't liked Charlie in a long time. Ever since he started being interested in Claire, he's just been really whiny and pathetic. I don't blame the others for not wanting to have anything to do with him at this point!

I read on another board something that was interesting: Libby mentioned to Hurley that he had stepped on her foot. But he was the last one on the plane, and she was in the tail section. So how? :scratchin

Yeah, what is with that story (Libby, Hurley, foot).......... :confused3
I knew there would be many comments how boring or slow last night's show was but I still liked it. Love the show.
Humm, why IS Locke changing the combination or whatever to the gun storage room. Who does he think he is? He's gonna get it................

I feel bad for Charlie. Sure, he has been acting crazy, and very whiny lately. I agree with TiggerPiglet, maybe Charlie is infected. He was taken by the Others in the first season. But so was Claire, while she was pregnant with Aaron. Maybe both Claire and Aaron are infected too? I'm just grasping at straws here, not making any definite predictions.

Pixiedust34, I totally agree with you about Locke. There has always been something not quite right about him. Although Charlie seems to be the leader, Locke takes it upon himself to make big decisions without consulting anyone on the island. Like changing the lock combination (lock...Locke, ironic). And I think that Locke went way too far when he beat Charlie up like that! Yeah, Charlie looked like he was about to harm Aaron, but that was too much. And Locke seemed to enjoy it a little too much.

I agree that the scenes with Hurley and Libby were funny. And Pixiedust34 might be right about the two of them meeting in a mental hospital in the past. Who knows! And Sawyer is a riot! :) I was never into Sawyer before until last week when he told Zeke that if he touched a hair on Kate's head. Yeah, he plays the tough guy, but he cares about Kate. At first I wanted Kate to end up with Charlie, but Charlie actually has more issues than Sawyer (maybe).

Next weeks episode is a repeat. But Februay 8th is new.

Sun is injured during a kidnap attempt, and the survivors fear that the Others have returned. Meanwhile, tension between Jack, Locke, Kate and Ana Lucia mounts, and Sawyer is an amused --and very interested-- bystander.

I can't wait! :mickeyjum

Couple of observations and maybe answers to so questions people have asked. I think Locke changed the combination because last week when Michael locked Jack and Locke in that room to get out they had to tell Sawyer and whoever was with him the combination to get out. Maybe Locke wants to limit who knows it and also is worried about Jack and his army he wants to train. It seems that Locke has the ability to know whats going on even though he's not a part of the conversation, like the one between Jack and Ana Lucia. The statue that Ecko gave Charlie, Charlie took and put with all the rest in his hiding place last week. So that should mean that the only ones left are the ones locked up with the guns. What I don't understand is why locke didn't just destroy the rest of the statues and the drugs inside. Why was he so intent on keeping them?

That scene where Charlie was yelling at Claire in the middle of the show (I think he was talking about baptizing Aaron) and the camera focused on Loche's face gave me the creeps. Loche is giving me the heebie-jeebies lately. I'm not sure why. He just is.

::yes::

extremely out of place.

I think Locke is "testing" people. (ie - keeping the drugs around)

He always seemed to give just enough info for someone to stop and think.

as Ecko is doing now too...but he seems "good"...

I really REALLY hope Locke doesn't turn out to be "bad"...as I REALLY like him. But 'gone' is the soft spoken Locke. When he beat up Charlie...it was soooo completely out of character.

I thought the same thing too about Locke. Did you notice how freakishly strong he seemed when he whupped up on Charlie?

And Charlie said last night that "he always seems to KNOW things..."

Hmmmmm....

I agree! I said to my husband that this episode made Locke look like he was evil (especially the "evil/scary" music playing when there were confrontations between Charlie and Locke). The one scene almost made it look like Locke didn't want Aaron baptised for some reason (his face was so ANGRY when baptism was brought up). The pummelling he gave Charlie at the end seemed quite out of character too.

Who set the fire? It wasn't Charlie, because his fingers did not have the tape on them. Some kind of big ring.

I have felt since the beginning that Locke is somehow "bad". He has never wanted off the Island (who wouldn't when he can walk?). I think he "sold his soul to the Devil".

I thought it was Charlie who set the fire to create a diversion so he could get Aaron.

I thought when Jack came over to stitch Charlie's face that Charlie said,"I set the fire" and Jack said, "I know you did" or did I just misunderstand? :confused3

So far this episode hasn't impressed me. Kind of boring...and seems unnecessary in that it hasn't really moved the plot along much. :confused3

::yes:: This episode was extreamly boring. Nothing happened! The plot didn't move forward at all. They are just stalling.

It WAS Charlie (and he admitted it to Jack near the end of the episode), but I also noticed that the tape on his fingers was not there.

I love this show...but last nights episode was just plain strange. The last image was of Charlie just sitting there and I was yelling "That's it?!? That's all?!?" to the TV :teeth:

I think it was weird Locke kept the statues and put them in the hatch. He told Charlie that he couldn't see him do that to himself anymore so his actions don't make sense to me.

Me too. Didn't he get taken (last season) by the "monster" and then come back OK? Kind of like Eko and the black smoke.

Ugh! Another repeat next week!

I really like Locke too but he was acting so strange last night and he always KNOWS everything going on. And what was the deal w/ him putting the statues in the locked room???? It's like someone else said.....he wants to manipulate people or the situations.

Love the show!!!

Yeah you know that those statues are going to come back around for some reason or another. The $1 million question is WHY?! :confused3
