LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

She also found out that Sawyer, Jin, and Michael were on Oceanic flight 815 and there are more survivors.

Okay, she told Michael she didn't seen Walt, right? If we assume she's not lying, does this mean there's another group of "Others" out there that does have him? And if so, how many other groups are there?

Just a guess, but I'd say that Ethan was not from her group. If he was, then she and "Shaft" would have known about Sawyer, Jack, and everyone else. So there HAS to be at least one more group of "others" out there.

One thing, though ... Ethan was coming for Claire and her baby, but the Gorton fisherman and his crew came for Walt. Did they change their minds, or were Ethan and the boat people from different groups as well?

She looks so familiar - was she the girl that drowned in the ocean early in season one?

OMG! you may be on to something. Jack definitely paused when he looked at the picture. I was thinking it was because he felt sorry for Desmond for being separated from the woman in the picture, but maybe it was the woman in the ocean. Does anyone have the Season 1 DVD, maybe someone can check it out.

We are trying to check it out. We caught a glimpse of her picture as it burns in the fire when Kate went to burn it. She has the dirty blonde hair like the girl.

Lauri thought of this because she was playing around on Oceanicflight815.com and you get little surprises when you click on dots. When she was looking around about a week ago, one of the surprises was a screencapture of Joanna (the drowning victim's) licence. Lauri thought it was odd that they would screencapture that image since it was such a teeny piece of the show. Unfortuanately it doesn't look like you get the same thing twice going through there (beware the dynamite game if you have a weak heart..lol)

Man, you guys are good. I have to go check that site out again :goodvibes

If that was Locke's father in the tape though, don't you think Locke would have recognized him?
Maybe that's why Locke said "we have to watch that again"? Maybe he did recognize him...

Where exactly was this? I can't seem to find it.

Wow! I went to WDW and had to read 30 something pages to catch up! It's exciting to see so many new people on the thread.

I did have some thoughts on the show but I think they've all been covered in the last 30 odd pages. One thing I've seen mentioned several times is "Shaft". I've read somewhere that he might be a survivor of the Nigerian plane that Locke and Boone found.

I just posted some spoilers on the other thread that deal loosely with Anna Lucia and her group.

found this on another site, and apparently somebody else found it on another site, etc., etc., You get the picture! Interesting stuff!!!

From another board, more appropriate in this thread than the other one I posted it in.

"By Google-ing "Alvar Hanso" I got bupkes, however, when I did them separately I found more. An Alvar was a member of a group of South Indian mystics devoted to the deity Vishnu. Vishnu was the protector and preserver of the whole world and also the restorer of... dharma (moral order).

Hanso is apparently the 8th form (of 9) of black belt in TaeKwonDo - a Korean martial art. Before you get to those forms you have to get through the 8 Taeguk forms (also found around the Dharma Initiative logo). Each of those forms are represented by a trigram. Form 4's trigram is called Jin (thunder/eldest son) and form 5's is Sun (wind/eldest daughter). "

I wonder if this points to Sun's father being somehow involved in the project? Maybe Jin was taking the watch to Hanso or someone else high up at Dharma.

Or maybe the writers are just having fun watching us scramble through google looking for clues

Other well-known flashback actors ... Sawyer's "buddy" was Robert Patrick (terminator, X-Files) ... the lawyers in Michael's flashback (Michael's lawyer has been in a lot of things ("And the Band Played ON"), and I thought I recognized the woman lawyer from the other side).

When we looked at teh shark we originally just thought the symbol on it was dark and hard to see the swan, but now I think it is from another 'station'.

Theories ... Jack had started believing in 'miracles' after what happened with Sarah ... but then what he had fixed ended up falling apart and her relapse into paralyzation caused her death ... so now Jack really is against the 'faith' side.

I also think Locke ended up in an accident that killed Helen and took his legs, and the Helen from season 1 is the name Locke gave her (as others have said).

When they are dragging Michael, Sawyer, and Jin through the jungle in the net, most of the people look modernly dressed. I totally think they are survivors from the tail, and that they were being cautious with these other survivors. I think Ana Lucia didn't really believe the gun story, so was still suspicious.

I like the 'dream' idea for Jin's Eglish.

They just replayed this past Weds episode at 8pm EST, so they may be doing it elsewhere too.

I do think that there are other stations and that they're on the island - the guy in the video said that they DHARMA founders wanted to build a research community (or something to that effect) which is what leads me to believe that they're all in one place.

AND in the preview for next week...(in white because some people consider previews spoilers) It looks like Ana-Lucia leads Jin, Sawyer, and Michael out into the jungle and into what looks like an empty bunker of some sort to meet what I'm assuming are other survivors from the tail section.

And Jin's big surprise (in the preview)... he's all roughed up, so it looks like it takes place on the island (not in a flashback like I'd thought when I watched the episode initially)

Oh ... and somone posted about the red light behind the Dr. in the orientation film ... it is in the episode, it is an EXIT sign.

Couldn't sleep last night because I couldn't stop thinking about LOST! Pathetic-- I know. BUT, what I was thinking was the scene they played 3 times over and Jack saying "ALL ROADS LEAD HERE," and how that must mean something really significant. Also, doesn't Sawyer call the big dude that put them in the hole "Shaft?" Shaft. Charlie's band was called "DRIVESHAFT." Connection? All roads lead here. Driveshaft. There is something here, I know there is!

"Shaft" is not related to "Driveshaft." Sawyer calls him Shaft because he's black and apparently a bad mother (shut my mouth).

My dh says that there was a character in a series on TV called Shaft who was a black detective.

So DH was watching one of his science shows (Nova) yesterday  and he said "hey come look at this" since it was filmed in Hawaii and I'm currently obsessed with Hawaii since we're planning a trip next fall. Anyway... it was this whole thing about how every couple of hundred years, the Earth's electromagnetic field reverses and North becomes South and South becomes North. Which got me thinking about Lost. Remember the compass that didn't point north? And the electromagnetic research being done on the island? The Nova show went on to say that when the flip is happening, there can be as many as 8 magnetic poles (there are usually 2, North & South poles). I don't know that this means a darn thing, but I thought I'd throw it out there for everyone to chew on.

Could the girl in the picture with Desmond be the girl Jack's father "killed"?
