LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

In numerology, the numbers that correspond to HANSO are 81516.

The Dharma website with just the logo and the one link doesn't look like an offical site to me.

Did anyone notice that when Desmond went to the pantry, loaded his bag with a few canned goods, and then scurried out of there, well, Jack was kind of following him around when he was 'packing' and when he was in the pantry, and Desmond grabbed stuff and left the pantry, Jack was still looking in the pantry and the camera zoomed in on a photograph Desmond seeming left behind. I am pretty sure that picture was of Desmond and a girl. Did anyone recognize the girl? Did anyone see the picture in the pantry I am talking about? It was a 4x6 or maybe panoramic (because it seemed wider than a normal 4x6 but no higher than a regular 4x6) photograph just sitting on the shelf propped up against a can.

Ok, I am probably totally stretching it here but look:

ALVAR HANSO

I can make Sarah out of this and end up with L-O-V-A-N. Maybe some combination is a last name? Wasn't this the name of Jack's patient?

I could make out that she was blond, but I couldn't catch her face? Was she Jack's patient? Was he maybe her fiance?

I saw it too, it is a blond headed woman, but it was too brief to tell much else.

I saw that picture but couldn't get a good enough look at it to see if she's familiar.

I still want to know what that stuff is that Desmond was injecting himself with and then grabbed a bunch of the bottles/vials when he was "packing" to get out of the hatch. Someone had mentioned/wondered if Alvar Hanso was Locke's father, which I thought at first when I was watching the episode but then when you go to the Hanso website, it mentions that Hanso was working on weapons during WWII, and I don't think Locke's father is old enough to have been working on weapons during WWII. There was so much to try and catch during last night's episode, I loved it.

Can someone remind me how was it we knew for sure that Locke was talking to a call girl in Season 1 and not a girlfriend? Did Locke say something that told us it was a call girl? I can't remember.

He was talking to 'Helen' on the phone and told her he bought 2 tickets for the walkabout, and she said something like 'I'm sorry, John. It's been nice talking to you, but maybe you need to find a therapist or something to talk to." then Locke says "I have a therapist. blah blah" and 'Helen' goes " If I keep talking to you it's going to coast you another $99.95" and then the conversation pretty much ends.

I'm wondering if she was maybe in another country and wasn't a call girl? So confusing.

*Note- This conversation happened not long before he went for the walkabout, I assume.

Nameste ~
(Sanskrit) excl. - a Hindu greeting; All that is the highest ability, thought, and action in me, greets all that is the highest ability, thought, and action in you. And when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, together we may realize a state of being that is beyond our individual experience of reality and therefore greater than ourselves.

Found this doing a search on the web. At the end the "orientation" film the guy in the film says "Thank you. Nameste. And...Good Luck." On the Hanso Foundation website, it says the same thing when you click on the different "projects". Just thought it was interesting.

That does make it sound like he was talking to a call girl, but like you I wonder if she wasn't a call girl and there is another explanation for the cost of the call. As always, so many questions, so few answers.

So did I. :teeth:

We've barely seen Sayid so far. His part on last night's show was weak, imo. I was surprised that he just stood by while Jack and Locke went back and forth about hitting the button. And when Jack corrected the last number to 42, Hurley didn't say a peep either. :confused3

I was also surprised that Sayid didn't back Jack up and say this is totally ridiculous, it must be some kind of mind game experiment, nothing would happen.

I believe the "Helen" Locke talked to on the phone was a sex phone operator. I think it was pretty apparent that's who she was, but then again, who knows.

I'm wondering if Jack thinks the food is poisoned since he tells everyone not to eat it. Maybe that's why Desmond didn't take any food.

I'm also confused as to whether or not the man Locke gave his kidney to was in fact his biological father. When he said you needed a "father figure" I got the sense he wasn't his real father, but then how would he have known Locke's kidney would have been a match. I'm really confused :confused3

When Locke started crying in the car, I almost cried along with him. That was so sad. I still believe Locke is good, but he definitely has something weird going on.

I thought that about Locke's dad too. That maybe he wasn't really his father. If not, then who is?

540 days is approximately 18 months, or 1 and 1/2 years. Desmond said he had been in the hatch for 3 years, replacements should have been sent twice in that time. He didn't say how long Calvin? had been there, or what had happened to Calvin's "partner" before Calvin found Desmond. Why would the "foundation" just leave their people to rot? Is everyone else in the foundatiion dead? And, if the hatch that Desmond is in is No. 3, is it possible that the other hatches or whatever they're called, are on the same island?

Maybe the "Others" inhabit the other test sights, maybe that's why they knew that Walt was "special".

I just love this--so many NEW questions!!

Did any of you notice ROSE was in the preview for next week? Finally, she's back. :Pinkbounc

You know I wanted to see where the "front door" that Kate ran out of was at! Did they never discover it?

You know, I wondered too why they didn't show where the door came out at.
Desmond and Jack went out the front door, and they didn't show them coming out either. I would like to know how it was hidden. :confused3

The front door thing was a point of curiosity for me too. I mean, here, the hatch is sealed shut, ladder severed, bolted, unopenable Fort Knox, and guarded with security measures.

Then Desmond was casually like, "Yeah, the front door's over there."

Hello? That's weird - because if he was so 'locked in' and worried about what was out there, how could he casually be like, 'the front door's over there' and Kate easily opened it and left...

Yep, very strange she opened the door like she knew how too.... :confused3 I would have been standing there going :confused3 .

Did anyone catch the profile of the money contributor on the training film?? He was shown at a side profile thru a window of an office building. It really looked like Locke's father. Could someone who recorded last nights episode please review and get back with us!
