He had a piece of bamboo attached to him, I wonder if it was a part of the raft. Maybe he floated back and they captured him.

The three main things I noticed were:

(1) The Shark had an octagonal symbol nears its tail, the same symbol that Locke saw on the metal box when he first entered the hatch and the same symbol on all the food packages in the storeroom Kate was locked in. The symbol is black and octagonal and looks like a feng shui symbol. There appeared to be writing on the symbol when Locke first entered the hatch.

(2) Mike gave Walt a polar bear stuffed animal when he was a child.

(3) The numbers 4-8-15-16-23-42 appeared to end some sort of countdown. The countdown was 108 (minutes or hours?), which is the sum of all the numbers.

this episode could have been last weeks. it was the exact same thing minus the flashbacks from jack. i wish they would have continued with the story. next weeks looks much better though. i'm excited!

i'm interested to see who those other people are, considering they threw ana-lucia in the ditch with the guys...

Didn't last week's previews for this week say something like 'the fate of the survivors would be revealed'? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything indicating this!

I agree, I didn't really care for it. I think that it was due to time constraints....too little time to show what was happening to everyone so they had to backtrack.

I think it's minutes. He did it once before, before they blew the hatch then he had Locke do it. 108 divided by 60 is 1 hour 48 min.

I believe Desmond also had that symbol on his suit.

I think they meant the fate of of Sawyer, Mike, Jin, and Kate.

OMG! That was the best show! I can't believe I just watched an hour long episode and we're right back at the same moment in the hatch!

I wonder who Desmond is waiting for? What did he ask John?
