I'm guessing that the captives will be taken to a hatch? I expect that Sayid will have a lot to do with finding them.

Why was Charlie so silly and cheerful after the explosion? He doesn't even know what's become of Locke and Ecko!

I guess that we know why the plane crashed though. Or do we?

It can't be a coincidence that the exact moment Desmond didn't enter the numbers that the plane with all of these people with ties to each other and to people already on the island happened to be flying nearby and crashed. That whole thing must have been planned.

Well let's expand on that ...what led to the button not being pushed? Desmond following Kelvin and being away from the hatch.

Why did Desmond follow Kelvin? Because Kelvin said goodbye in such a way that made Desmond even more suspicious of his actions.

Could Kelvin have known? Besides fixing the sail boat what else was Kelvin doing all those times he left the hatch? Why did Desmond call the "others" hostiles? Who gave him that idea?

Yeah they answered some questions but left us with a whole lot more, the main one being is the whole show really about Desmond and Penny

And your point is the most interesting thing this finale raised to me. It boggles my mind that they ended this season with people we know very little about (Penny and Desmond). The last scene made my jaw drop.

What I think this season finale does officially "answer" is that these people on the island are not in any kind of spiritual limbo or hell. Now, why they're there is another question entirely, but I do think one theory can now be trashed.

But Sawyer looked hot. What was up with the looks between the three of them at the end? Was that an "I've got a plan, trust me, Kate" look from Jack or was that a "Let's get caught in a net again" look?

DH and I busted out laughing at that sheepish expression on Locke's face when he told Eko he was wrong.

I take back my theory that the kid was in charge since he got sent off on a boat w/dad!

The computer at the snowy station definitely said "electromagnetic anomaly detected" not anything about an individual person.


I knew they wouldn't let us figure out everything as that won't happen until the end (if at all), but I all these new questions.....


My theory as he was explaining the reason the plane crashed was that ANOTHER plane would crash here on this last episode and they could have a plane crash every season or two, filling the island w/new people and stories! Too bad it was only a hatch door that came flying out of the sky! I was figuring it was "Fantasy Island" all over again and Tatoo was coming out of the woods soon!

What did everyone think of Henry saying "Now that Walt joined us..." Not quite sure how to take that one...

Is anyone else just waiting for the big romance between Charlie and Claire to draw us all in and then BAM, she finds out about what he did to Sun and it's all over- right as we were getting into it? I hate that stuff!

Why did Desmond call the "others" hostiles? Who gave him that idea?

Do we even know that the hostiles ARE the others? I'm not so sure about that.

I really enjoyed the episode. I thought they answered many questions tonight. Of course they left us with more questions, but they can't give away everything and still expect people to tune in.

I do think that she was searching for Desmond. Why else would she have made that comment about having a lot of money and being able to find him.

I'm still a big confused about the others. I do think the plane crashed because of the button not being pushed. What I'm not sure about is if it was an accident...everyone is just too connected for it to be an accident. Of course, them being connected makes for good TV, but that can't be all there is to it.

I never liked Michael, and I really hated him last night. He looked like he didn't give a fig as he motored away looking at the other three bound and gagged. I loved the look on Hurley's face when he realized Michael killed Libby. Wish Hurley had killed Michael...wish anyone had killed Michael.

The electromagnetic burst may have caused the plane to break up, but it still doesn't explain how anyone survived the crash...or how some people miraculously healed.

The scene with the pneumatic tube dump was very disturbing.

While I still have hope and I will keep watching, I fear the writers have no idea where they are going.

Can I replace my Sayid tag with Desmond now? Is Desmond really dead?

I liked last night's episode even though it was ultra-confusing. The connection between Libby and Desmond, too, is unexpected!


Maybe Penelope and her dad are both involved in Dharma/Hanso?


The tube scene was weird.... when I saw that I figured that the monitoring station must have been the real experiment if no one was picking up the journals.

Charles Widmore who will make his first appearence in "Live Together, Die Alone" the 23rd and final episode in Lost Season 2.
Penelope, love of Desmond. First appearance in "Live Together, Die Alone" in both Desmond's flashbacks as well as in the final minutes of the episode. She seems to have her own workers searching for the Island and it's electromagnetic anomaly, perhaps to find Desmond.

Also, I thought it was interesting that Penny's searchers were in a cold, snowy place when they got the signal. I am wondering if that has anything to do with the polar bear from season 1. Maybe it's like "Lost Horizon" where there is a secret tropical "paradise" in an otherwise frigid place. Of course the island is far from a real paradise but it is tropical.

OK, some random questions:

When did Charlie stop wearing the tape around his fingers, that had the letters that would change? Was there any explanation to this I may have missesd? Not a deep question, I know, but it's bugging me.

So are we to assume that the man in the institution with Hurley, who repeated the numbers, might have been on the island at one time, inputting the numbers?

Why DID only those certain people survive the plane crash? I wonder if they will ever find out their connections to each other? I hope the writers will at some point tie this up- driving me nuts.

I think Michael will help Sayid save Jack, Kate and Sawyer. And why did the 'others' choose those three? Because they had already seen the 'others'? Because they tend to take leadership positions? Why? Why? WHY?

And who are the others? They obviously aren't bums. Are the scientists working against this Widmore laboratories? I think the HIM might be Penny's dad? Some sort of evil mad man controlling these experiments?

I think there were scientists at the South Pole because aren't there strong magnetic forces at the poles? Maybe Penny knew her father led Desmond (in the sail boat race) to some sort of electromagnetic force area, but she had no idea where....so she paid some people to stake out a place in Antarctica to try and detect any anomolies to electromagnetic fields out there on the planet?????????? And when the scientists in the S. Pole said, "Did we miss it again?" they were referring to when the plane crashed, when Desmond was late putting the code in????

This is a wonderful show, but it's driving me batty!

I think they choose Kate, Jack, Sawyer and Hurely because they confronted there issues. However sense Hurey has issue dealing with the Loss of Libby, they couldn't use him anymore
