Wow I am so happy for you!!!! I was really sweating this with/for you!!!! Enjoy the cruise and have a few drinks!!!!!

This is what I was wondering about. Now they actually have to GET the physical passport...

:tink:

pixie for u...

Yeah, I am still crossing my fingers... there's a LOT that has to go right still. Passport, drop off, car return, traffic in LA etc.... :crazy2: I didn't realize it wasn't just "get the passports and head to the port" that addition of drop offs etc... If it was "head to port" you could probably wait until 3 but...

I am holding off the "cheering" until we know it's "done"

Exactly, we don't have confirmation yet she's at the terminal correct? And it's 4:30, isn't it too late? Oh never mind just noticed its LA time, it's approx 1:30sh there.

Hopefully her Disboards friends from the meet thread are talking with the crew and stalling things a bit.

Still ok at 1:30. But I wonder if it makes sense for anyone else to drop off the car while they are waiting? Maybe not, but it makes me wonder. A cab might be worth not missing the port...?

When she spoke with DCL on Saturday, they told her something about the employees at the port (who are not DCL employees) have the final say on if she can board or not. All aboard is 4:00, 2 hours 15 minutes from now. I'm betting she'll be o.k. HOWEVER there is a lot of freeway construction going on right now.

Hey! Enterprise advertises that they will "pick you up." It might be worth a try for the OP to call Enterprise and see if Enterprise will meet them at the port.

Actually what we should be hoping is that some plane that DCL booked passengers on is running LATE! They will hold if they can for the "runners' on DCL booked transport. :)

If they are really cutting it close, keep the car another week and park it at the port. I know it's $$$$ but better than missing the cruise.

Is that an option? I think it's not a loop, meaning they won't be back for it! They debark in Vancouv?

She just posted: We just got the passports. We are in the car headed to the port

Crisis one averted... And you can drive like a "bat out of heck" in LA if they haven't run into each other. (They have two speeds... full stop and pedal to the metal!)

Yeah I don't think leaving the car at the port will work, but... I did once have a coworker who tipped an airport skycap $20 to return her rental car :lmao:

Thank you so much for keeping us informed! :)
