We were able to get through the line. The lady said that our passports should be done between 1 and 3, probably closer to 1 since we were there so early. We are going to head there and be there at 1. Once we get them, we are going to head to the port and drop my grandparents and aunt off. Then my mom and I are going to head to enterprise to drop the rental car off. Then catch a taxi to the port.

You are going to hate what I am about to say but do it so you won't be kicking yourself later.

the office opens at 7 am, there are people who have appointments so there will likely only be 1 or maybe two agents to deal with people who have emergencies, by 645 the line is going to be long, get there at 5 or 530 in the morning, yes it sucks and yes you have to wait but you will guarantee you will be first or one of the first in line. This also gives you more time in case they need documentation that you don't have with you. One more thing, make sure you have passport photos with you, if you don't have them CVS or another chain like walgreens (sorry don't know the stores in CA) does them in an hour or so.
