LOST news/discussion

Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) pleads no contest to drunk driving charge from 2007.

I expect him to be written off the show soon, following the footsteps of Michelle Rodrigues and Cynthia Watros, the first two cast members booted off the show for dui.

SUPER thread!

When does the next season begin?

The show is currently filming in the islands after the summer hiatus. A friend of mine, knows one of the carpenters who works on the crew. He's been busy building sets, and other stuff for the show the last month or two.

Occassionally when I'm running or driving around Oahu, I often see the film crews shooting. They do a lot of outdoor shots in downtown, usually for the flashback/flashforward scenes. The beach stuff is way out on the northshore, and the forrest stuff can be one of several places.

Early 2009 season five will premier.

Welcome to the thread.

Yes, I can't wait for LOST to start. I feel so LOST without LOST!!

I noticed across the street from my office, several of the parking meter stalls are marked off for the HIP Productions. So they'll be filming something in one of the buildings right near me this week. I'll take photos if I can.

Me and Jorge Garcia, who plays Hurley.

UPDATED

My friend Sheryl with Daniel Dae Kim (Jin), and Harrold Perrineau (Michael) at LAX airport, as we were returning from a conference. They were on the same flight. Unfortunately, we didn't stop to get photos with Ed McMahon (The Tonight Show), or Jim Brown (CBS NFL Sports) who we also saw in our airport terminal.

Funny, at the time when we met them, I wasn't really a LOST fan. I watched the very first episode, then stopped. I got into it after the second season, so I had to borrow season 1 & 2 to see what I had missed.

Forgot to mention, my wife drove past the building they use for the funeral home last week. It's about a mile and a half from our house. LOST was filming there as well.

They're popping up all over the place lately.:happytv:

They filmed the other day down the block, but I never saw which actors were around.

Today, the production trucks are back.

Thanks for the updates on the filming! However, Lost will not be premiering until early 2009, not Oct. 1st. The Season 4 DVD's come out Dec. 9th. I HIGHLY recommend the books "Finding Lost" by Nikki Stafford. She has written a book for every season and it delves deeper than you imagine. Her Season 4 book won't come out until the spring unfortunately but I cannot re-watch the episodes without them!

On Monday, a film crew from LOST were on a boat. It capsized, and everyone had to be rescued. Happened up on the North Shore.

I took my keiki out for a sunset bike ride. We rode past the LOST compound. Saw all the crew having their dinner break. The cast on duty must have been holed up in their star trailers. We didn't spot anyone walking around their trailers.

Oh well, will check back another day.

LOST was filming at the Waikiki Yacht Club, just down the sidewalk from where I start and end my runs. The film crew was parked all over the place, so I talked to one of the guys. He said they were filming a car scene in the parking lot, and with all the yachts in the background.

The yacht club is supposed to be Long Beach Harbor.

Surprisingly there has been very little filming around town. I think I last saw them in October, and nothing since.

LOST was filming on Tuesday down where I start my run. Another flashback scene.

They again converted the Ala Wai Yacht Club to the Long Beach Harbor.

The same building used as the funeral home, was in last night's episode as the butcher shop that Ben walked into and talked to the blonde lady.

That building is just about 1 1/2 miles from my house.

Loved the season opener, Need to see it again and think about it though. (like I always do - tkae another week before I even get close to getting it.)

Jeff you should totally start a behind the scenes Lost tours ... sort of like the tours you can take in NYC and go to all the different Sex and the City locations.
