with all my important stuff in it....AP, DVC card, DDP card and my bank card. It fell out of my bag sometime while walking in to the park.....The good news is someone brought it to guest services and I was able to get it back....could have been a disaster! Thank you who ever returned it...you are a lifesaver! :goodvibes

Isn't it wonderful when people do that?

Just when you think the world is full of slugs someone goes and restores your faith in humanity. :)

Disney is always good with things like this. I remember once my aunt lost her glasses at MK and within a couple of hours, a very nice couple returned them in perfect condition. Thank you Disney!

The same thing happenned to me in 2004. I left my wallet on the Living with the Land ride in Epcot. We walked out of the building and o nly got a few minutes away when I realized it was gone. I went right back to the ride and the CM called someone and asked me to describe it and said it had been turned in and was taken to Guest Services in the front of Epcot (all in a matter of minutes). We got it back with everything intact - drivers license, bank card, money, disney dollars - we wouldn't have been able to get home if it hadn't been found - our flight had just been cancelled because of the hurricane and we had to rent a car to drive home. I wouldn't have had any money or drivers license to do that! We were very fortunate that an honest person did the right thing. So if the person who did that is reading this - THANK YOU! :yay:

It's it nice to know that there's "people doing the right thing". When I read the rude people stories it makes me sad that there's people like that but I'm glad you shared this great story.

Doesnt it put your faith back in the human race... When we went in March my DD14 left her envelope with all her souvenir money in it (over $100) on the table of the restaurant we were eating at.. we got back to the hotel before we realized we didnt have it and thought back and realized where it was left.. we went to the customer service desk at the hotel and they called the restaurant and we were advised that it was turned in and we could pick it up at Ticket Transporation Center the next day as the park was closed.. We went there the next day thinking some of the money or all might be gone.. but it was all there!! That was a great feeling.. :wizard:

Of all places to lose a wallet, Disney is probably the best places to have that happen. My wallet fell out while riding Dinosaur a few weeks ago and I didn't realize it until 15 minutes later. I went back and they even have a procedure for these type of cases. They find you on the ride picture and they use that to identify the vehicle in which you were riding, and therefore find your property.

But I got lucky, just as we were getting ready to start scrolling through the pictures, a cast member came out with my wallet. Everything was still in there. Everyone was great.

Our First Disney Trip, We Lost Our Camera. We Got It Back That Day. On Our Third Trip, My Daughter Lost Her Fanny Pack With Her Trading Pin Lanyard And 20 Dollars And We Also Got It Back Untouched. I Can Not Imagine That Happening Anywhere Else. We Love Disney World. I Am So Glad You Had A Great Outcome Also.

I would hate to think that I traded someone's happiness on their vacation for whatever money they had in their wallet. There are a lot of things more important than money in the world, including a vacation at WDW, even if it isn't mine.

I love people. Glad to see the 85% of peeps that are good folks get some recognition.

On our last trip my DS10 saw a man drop his wallet, so he ran over and got it, then chased after the man to yelling to get his attention. The man was so nice, offered my DS some "reward money" for returning it, and my DS said "no thank you" I was so proud of him. When I asked him why he wouldn't take the reward he told me that "all he did was the right thing" and felt he shouldn't need a reward for it! Just wanted to share that...I'm very proud of him! :cheer2:

Kvogel, what a great story! You should be very proud of him. You know, children are a reflection of their parents, so good for you!

Thank goodness for honest people! Somehow I find lots of lost wallets, purses, even kids (wandering around in the Kohls parking lot while mom was in store!). Recently, I lost my wallet. By the time I realized it was missing, DH called saying he had it! Someone he works with found it on their lunch hour at the mall, recognized the name, and brought it to him! The place where he works has roughly 10,000 employees! It must have been all the good karma I had been collecting!

Both my husband and I have returned wallets we have found at the parks. I agree with another poster about not being able to enjoy "found money" at the expense of someone else's holiday! :goodvibes

Actually, another funny lost wallet story is last summer my brother lost his wallet while on Marthas Vineyard. Turns out he left it at a restaurant, it had fallen between the table and the wall. The next customer was the dentist who had just done my fathers oral surgery, and since my brother is a JR he recognized the name, and brought the wallet back to us! What are the odds!
