Lost my ring!!!

Hello from a recent Disney-bride! I was just engaged in April and married in July both at Disney. I posted here a few times but I read all the time.

Well...at some point yesterday I lost my engagement ring. I was running around xmas shopping and wrapping and i don't know where I lost it. I called everywhere I went but no luck.

I am so heartbroken. What my DH had to do to "smuggle" it to Disney to give it to me means so much...no ring can replace it. Heck we haven't finished paying for it yet!

So please...check those fingers often! I don't even remember when the last time I saw it was...it is so a part of me I naturally assume it is always there!

Did you guys have it insured as a floater on your property insurance? If so, contact them now. If you don't (or any of you don't), I would suggest calling your insurance agency and getting it on your personal property insurance. Fairly simple... you have a have it appraised by someone they will work with (they might even have a list), sign the information to get it on the policy, and pay a minimal monthly payment. We pay around $12/month for our jewelry estimated at a 14k-16k value... so, about $1 for every 1k it's appraised at. It doesn't replace the sentimental value, but at least you have some sort of protection.

Another thing... make sure it's sized right! It should not slip over your knuckle in the middle of your finger! If your fingers shrink in the winter, get one of the non-permanant sizers.

I'm so sorry to hear that I had that happen to my promise ring that my now DFi gave me.

If you had insurance on it it should cover it maybe Hopefully it will.
Until then I hope you can find it. I know how heartbreaking something like this can be.

Although not as much, I do know how you feel. For our first christmas together my then boyfriend (no fiancee) bought me a beautiful ring. I wore that thing every day for 6 years! Once day I noticed it was missing off my finger. I went back to school searching and no luck...even went through the garbage I was so desperate. It is heartbreaking, but I have faith that you might find it.

Thanks for all your good thoughts. Unfortunately I listened to DH and did not get extra insurance. So we are out of luck there!
