I remember 17 years ago when my then fiancee called me in a panic because she had been swimming and somehow lost a stone from her setting. It took a while for me to convince her that I didn't care about the ring -- as long as she was okay. It's all about priorities: I never worried about spending the rest of my life with that ring by my side, but I couldn't imagine a single day without her.

Thank you so much. My DH is being wonderful about but I am heartbroken. The story behind his Disney proposal is based on that ring...I still have the story to tell though! Thanks for all your good thoughts.

My mom lost her stone several years ago. She was heart-broken and really upset about the whole thing. She kept her wedding band and eventually gave up looking.

Several months later, my Dad was mowing the lawn and saw something glittering in the grass. It was her stone! After all those months, it was found. Don't give up hope, but don't let it control your life. It just may turn up when you are not looking for it! I am praying for you!

I lost my ring once, and it broke my heart. Everytime I was cleaning I would be searching too. For 2 years it was lost, and then one day whilst moving the computer furniture around, I found it, how on earth it had gotten into the tiniest little little crack is beyond me, but it did, so whilst your dusting and polishing be on the look out. they tend to turn up in the strangest of places.
