Lost Membership card

Hey,

We leave for Disney in about 12 hours - we can't find the membership card. We have our letter that DVC mailed to us when we made our reservation, so we're not worried about checking in. Will we need the card for anything else (I know you get discounts at some locations)? And more importantly - if we stop at a DVC counter, will they be able to print us a new one (and either give it to us there or mail it to us)? We'd even settle for some sort of documentation showing we are DVC members so we can use that to secure the discounts.

I don't believe you can obtain a replacement member card onsite quickly. I had replacement cards issued years ago and I know it was at least a number of weeks to obtain them. However, when you check in, assuming you booked on points, you will have "DVC Member" printed on the bottom of your room keys. That is sufficient for some of the discounts, but there are some that do require the blue Member card.

Don't you have more than one? I have mine, hubby has his and daughter has hers. You need the card for valet parking and buying an AP (that's the only two things we use it for). When buying grandson's AP last year we also took a copy of the front page of our contract showing his mom's name and address so that there would be no problem getting his AP for him before mom got there. (no problem). Good luck. I agree, you have to call MS to get a replacement.

They used to issue temporary paper cards at the sales center at SSR, so I'd call my guide and ask if that is still possible. You will need to call Member Services for a new plastic card.

A year or two ago my card fell apart. I called them about 2 months before my trip and they said they would send a new one. I never got it and I called them back 3 or 4 weeks before my trip and they said to stop by the SSR sales center to get a temporary one.

I LOST MY CARD IN NOVEMBER. I WENT TO THE SALE CENTER THEY ISSUE ME A TEMPORARY PAPER CARD. THEY MAILED ME A NEW CARD IT TOOK 5 WEEKS
