Just in case anyone is still reading this....

I finally had some time yesterday to think about forkin over my hard earned bucks into Mickey's back pocket for the 12/27/08 cruise...and egads, my SPH rooms are gone! Boo-hoo...(when we booked for this cruise before, we booked 20 months out and got the rooms, I know...should have gotten up early on the 31st).

I digress - here's the pricing I received in case anyone is interested. We find Costco Travel to have the best prices - about 10% less than Disney plus a Costco Gift Card. (noted in parenthesis is the amount of the Costco Gift Card)

Here's my question - anyone ever book a Cat 10 Gty on a full-capacity cruise and actually got an upgrade? (we need two connecting rooms) We've never stayed below Deck 5 - what about 2 Cat 10's on deck 2 or would you prefer 2 Cat 11's on a higher floor?

I have to say that this was by far the most interesting and well detailed trip report that I have had the pleasure to read. I printed it out and read it each night before bed, it was like reading a good book, I couldn't wait to get to the next page.

As for your '08 NYE cruise, the lowest connecting rooms that you'll get would be cat 10s. You can get cat 11s next to each other, but not connecting inside. I, like you, love the SPHs and have had them booked for 4 of my 6 cruises. But, for one of those, I was sent to deck 2 and I have to say that deck 2 was nice for several reasons too. We were in 2103 and it was close to the AFT stairs, so easy to get to the elevators to deck 9 and the drink station and pool. Only one flight up for 2 restaurants and 2 flights up for the other. Oh, and 2103 was very close to the deck 2 laundry, which was definitely useful!!!

sounds like all and all u guys had a crazy cruise i dont know but mabe if u r goin on a nother 1 next year u will have a better cruise

It may have been crazy, but it was awesome and enjoyable. We are hoping to cruise again in February 09.
