Lost in DVC points

Help! I have 220 points already banked and I have to make a decision by the end of August for use by the end of Feb 2007. I really want to trade the points so I can go on the Mediterranean cruise next June, but, so far, no takers. Any ideas on what I can do???

You could rent the points and use the proceeds to pay for a cash vacation. Personally that is the route I would take just b/c I can usually find awesome travel deals and the trades don't seem as high value to me.

If you can't find a renter, you could deposit them into II and use them later. I would certainly do that to keep from loosing them.

Or you could use them for the cruise. Not the best value but certainly better than not using them.

Travel must be COMPLETED by two years from THE WEEK DEPOSITED. Usually that gives you a few months extra. But since it takes a year to get many exchanges, it's not as much time as it sounds on the surface. IMO, anyone who does a deposit first should really have an idea of when/how they can use the deposit with realistic expectations.
