Some great memeories here!

I miss Chicken Tonight sweet & sour sauce :(

I feel like chicken tonight, chicken tonight, chicken tonight! (Flapping "wings"...)

Yum. I also miss Apricot Fruit Roll Ups. Back then, Fruit Roll Ups tasted like fruit- strawberries! cherries! apricots!

have you tried fruit leather? Stretch Island makes a very good all natural fruit leather. The apricot is wonderful

My miss the yogurts with the granola box at the top. Last year, when I went to St.Peteersburg, they had them in the Publix by St.Pete's beach! I was so happy LOL I remember eating them when I was like three.

Oh, I've just re-discovered fun dip too!
Yum :)

I remember O'Boises - they were great, like potato chips with the skin on one side. Around the same time, there were also Keebler Chachos (in the flavors - cheesy quesadilla, cinnamon crispana, and restaurant style original). I also remember really like Chocodiles , which I think were like chocolate twinkies, and banana twinkies (banana cake with vanilla cream filling). Pineapple tang was pretty good. And I loved some snack calle Peanut Butter Boppers, or something like that. It was a long skinny cylinder of peanut butter with crisp rice ont he outside.

Please tell me someone remembers these cookies. I think Sunshine made them but I'm not positive. They had a soft chocolate bottom(round) then there was marshmallow on top covered with chocolate jimmies (sprinkles). My mother use to buy them when I was a kid in the 70's and they were so good. I think about those alot.

Could these have been pinwheels or mallomars? My mom liked both of those.

Does anyone remember Chicken Littles from KFC? They were so yummy it was a sad day for me when they stopped selling them.

Reggie bars. Miss those-but Goo Goo clusters are close.
Were those just a NY/NJ area thing? Wasn't he playing for the Yankees when those came out?

Koogle peanut butter. I loved the eyes on the seal!
Koo-Koo-Koogle with the Koo-Koo-Koogly Eyes!

Snapple sodas. Way back before Quaker bought Snapple (and sold them, for that matter) they had the BEST sodas: Tru Root Beer, Cream Soda and the best Black Cherry.
Don't forget Cherry Lime Rickey!

Okay, what were the chocolate bars where they added the air bubbles to the chocolate in the commercials?
Anyone remember "Circus Fun" cereal? I think it had more marshmallows than actual cereal.

Always and forever, Taco Bell Cinnamon Crispa's! That twisty business they have now skeeves me right out - it's like cinnamon sugar pork rinds / packing peanuts. NO THANKS.

(It's a good thing none of my RL friends or family post here. They've all heard numerous renditions of the crispa vs. twist rant.)

Oh! And also, am I the only one who remembers apple dumplings from Wendy's? No one ever knows what I'm talking about, but good gravy, they were awesome!! :)
OMG, I loved the Cinnamon Crispas! The twisty things are not even half as good. Why did they change a good thing? :confused3

You guys are going to think I am crazy but I swear Arby's used to have crinkle fries. They were SO GOOD!! Also I miss the beef and cheese sandwich Arby's used to have--beef and chedder was never for me!

I miss the corn fritters that they used to have at KFC. They were great with raspberry jam! I keep hoping one day they will bring them back.
I also miss Happy Pop. Similar stuff to Pop Shoppe. They came in stubby bottles with smiley faces on them. My friends and I still make something called Happy Juice. A bunch of their pop mixed with sugar and juice. Talk about a sugar high!

In fact, it was rare that a movie got released on VHS in those olden days!!!

And if they were the price was outragous, $80 or $90.

Oh and I miss Roy Rogers!
They have them in rest stops on the NJ Turnpike and that is the ONLY place I see them now.
We used to have one here in town, I never even got the roast beef sandwiches that everyone loved, just the cheeseburgers but they were so good!

Me too, I know they had one here in MD but I haven't been up there recently to know if it's still there.

I miss the giant tripple stuffed oreo cookie they used to make. I would buy one every friday at my middle school. I also miss candy cigerettes. I know that it is not PC but it was so much fun to puff out the powdered sugar.

For a good look as to why these candies diappear read Candyfreak by Steve Almond.

It is interesting to learn about how a candy gets to the shelf and why a company no longer makes it. A fun and quick read. But be warned it makes you want to eat chocolate :rolleyes1

I'm sure no one even remembers this but when I was little there used to be a restaurant chain called "Burger Chef" and there were characters called Burger Chef and Jeff. I was probably around 7 or 8, and it had to be around 1978 ish?

I remember Burger Chef!! Did you always live in Central NJ, and was the BC in Bound Brook by any chance??

You should ask one of the managers at a Publix to see if they can find some for you. I know I bought some a couple of years ago (The real Googer kind...not generic)but I don't remember where. Anyway...Publix is supposed to try to find anything you want(at least here they do). If I run across any one day I will let you know.....maybe it was Walmart.....hmmmmmm...I will have to look!!
This is true, however, some stores in Ga sell them, and I would have to drive up there to get it. I know other places sell it, just not here in Miami. :confused3

How about Bonomos Turkish Taffy........smack it and crack it

How 'bout Jolt cola? or the colored (green, purple) ketchups (YUK!).

For some reason, that reminded me of the weird flavored Lays potato chips, like Orange, Lemon, Lime, etc, they were pretty gross, lol!

And just a few years ago (probably longer, lol), I remember the delicious Pop Secret Popcorn "chips", those were pretty yummy! Also, the Cheetos "Paws". those delicious crunchy cheesy (and kind of buttery tasting) cheesys.

I also remember from my childhood, Cinnamon Hotlips, those were always a real treat. And I wish SweetTarts would get rid of the green apple flavor and bring back the lime instead, that's MUCH better!

Jules
