Do you think the girl from Charile's hotel room and the girl on the boat are the same person???
I couldn't quite make out the pictures you posted (for some reason my monitor is darker than normal), so I lightened the pics.

Am watching CSI on Spike tv right now and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) is on it. And here I thought he couldnt speak any English :teeth:

FYI...Lost pilot is on tonight. We have to watch to see if the black smoke actually does blow up that engine or if that pic was photo shopped! :magnify: Okay...well at least that's the excuse I'm using with DH. ;)

Hopefully it is on in my area, when I looked at the channel I usually watch it on it says there is an Eagles last concert dohickey on instead. I forgot to check the other station so maybe it is on that channel. I have digital cable so I can check the TV listing ahead of time never thought to check both channels.

bigmerle they will be showing the reruns at 10pm during the summer....

I've got it set for Tivo on the highest quality avail....usually I'm cheap and just use best quality...LOL

How do we know the long-haired blonde person is a girl/woman?

I don't suppose we know anything for sure, I just thought she looked like a female. :confused3

Looking at the pixs that were posted...the blonde almost looks to have a peach-fuzz moustache. Did anybody else notice that or was it a shadow?

It's definitely not photoshopped. I just watched it frame by frame on the tivo. The guy is sucked into the jet, the scene switches view, the black "thing" strikes enters the frame flying, strikes the top and flies off at a different angle (appearing to be a controlled hit) and *then* the jet explodes.

Curiouser and Curiouser...

but a body flying into the jet engine would make it explode....

It entirely would. However, the presentation of events and the timing make it appear as if the body flying into the vent *didn't* make it explode and that it only explodes after, what ever it is that strikes it does so.

I dunno. Think I need to watch it a dozen more times :)

The sounds are mechanical. Maybe the whole island is man-made... there couldn't be an undiscovered island now due to satalite images, etc.

when the woman who was sitting across the aisle from Jack said "that sound is familiar" I realized it was the same sound that they heard on the plane as it was crashing. hmmm

OMG it IS there!!! I didn't see it watching the first time, but I just went frame by frame with the tape and it is totally there and it does make the plane explode!!!! I have it paused there now and you can see it.

I don't know how I'm ever going to make it until September :sad2:

I just recognized this for the first time tonight too. It was like a freakin' lightbulb in my head when I heard it. Doesn't explain what it is, but I definitely agree.

Watch the whole scene on the beach in slo-mo right as Jack is coming across it and you will see it more than once. And there is a scene with Charlie as he stands in front of the engine when you see clothes flying around and then there are black things in the background. That is as far as I have gotten, I am going to watch the rest of that part and see if I see it more.

I have seen it three times for sure and possibly more. The first time is as Jack is coming across the beach and is moving past pieces of the fuselage I saw it fly up from the ground towards the sky. The second time is as Jack looks up at the wing the first time it flys past and the third time is when it hits the engine. I am not sure about what exactly is flying around when they show Charlie in front of the engine, there is clothing and further in the background you can see black stuff but it is hard to tell if that is the monster or just debris.

Well, I only saw it the one time (right after the guy was sucked into the engine) but I've never seen debris travel in an arc before. Comparing it to what we saw in the finale (the pic I posted in the jungle) it's definitely not debris. JMO.
