Did anyone else think about Finding Nemo when the boat sped away with Walt and Michael was in the water yelling his name ?

Can't say I did. But that's because I was concerned about the temperature of the water and whether the droplets on Michael's face were: a) ice cause the water was super cold, b) oil cause he was wearing makeup or c) just water cause I'm really bad at this "clue" stuff.


But thanks for pointing it out for me. That just gave me the shivers.

I'm new to this thread, but I had to say I LOVED this season finale of "Lost".

As a matter of fact, a friend of ours, Dan Roebuck, played "Artz" and I was "blown away" (pun intended) when he blew up! We're hoping to meet up with Dan (haven't seen him in about 20 years) when we visit LA in July.

So sad that he couldn't stick around for a few more epidodes, or become a regular.

TV Guide said he's contracted for next season (I'm guessing in flashbacks, lol) so hopefully we will get to see more of him.

Someone help me get this straight... So Rousseau made up the story about 'The Others' to get the baby? Or are there really "others" and she tried to make a trade to get her child back? That is the part that confuses me. Do they really have to hide in the hatch now? I am dying to know what's in there!

I can't believe they took Walt AND blew up their raft! Ugh!!! I was hoping Walt would do his psychokinetic thing, but no... maybe that will come into play later.

Man I love this show... Fall can't come soon enough!

My opinion...Rousseau didn't make up the story about the others. She heard them say they were coming for the boy. She thought they meant the baby boy (Aaron, aka Turniphead). She thought if she gave them the baby, they would give her Alex back (her baby that they took supposedly 16 years ago). They really meant they were coming for Walt. So, the others were on the boat looking for the raft to take Walt. Raft boys shoot the flare and the others find what they were looking for.
I don't think they need to hide in the hatch now, but think back to the crazy guy Hurley went to see about the numbers. He was upset that Hurley used the numbers, he said something like you opened the box. That's why Hurley freaked out when he saw the numbers on the hatch and didn't want Locke to open it. I guess all hell will break loose now (Pandora's Box?).

I'm more confused than ever.

Rousseau was trying to make a switch. Charlie took the herion statue. Artz blew up. The monster is invisible was puffy black smoke. The others seem to think it's -20 out while everyone else is dressed for Aug in TX. Walt is the boy they wanted. What's in the Hatch....

I thought we were going to find out what brought the plane down? Did I miss it?

Where did the other's get a boat? I think the girl was/is Alex. The transmission has been running 16 years, who knows how long Rousseau has really been there.

Just what I needed....more questions.

Wow! That was GOOD!!

The minute they found Danielle and she started talking about the other's saying they wanted the CHILD, the BOY...I looked at DH and told him that hte others wanted walt. Sorry I was right!

I never thought about the blonde being Alex but I bet that is correct!! So those were the others???

The Hatch...hmmmm....very interesting!

I sure hope Sawyer, Jin and Michael all make it!! But I have a feeling someone won't. Ugh!

A few people (Walt's stepdad, Locke) have said that Walt is different. It almost appears that if he wishes something it comes true. That's what the psychokensis is about. Examples he was reading a book on birds, got mad at his mom and a bird flew into the door and died. He always wins when playing backgammon against Hurley (he blows on the dice says what he needs and presto he gets). Folks have attributed the polar bear to Walt. He was reading comic book (which we now know was Hurleys) that featured a polar bear.

Okay comment here...everyone commenting on the clothes the others were wearing...the boys on the raft noticing how big the island is....polar bears... possibility there is more than one type of environment on the island...jungle near the beach, colder weather near the mountains the raft boys noticed??? No one has really explored the entire island. Sayid started out planning too but his encounter with Danielle made him go back to the beach. Just a though

Okay back to your questions...(sorry about that)...some folks believe Hurley might have known Walt simply because when Hurley got on the plane he gave Walt a thumbs up and Walt smiled. I think it was just Hurley noticing a kid staring at him and was simply being Hurley

I had this strong feeling that Sawyer jumped/fell off the raft to get to the boat so he could secretly climb aboard and ambush the others and save the boy later when their guards were down. By pretending to get shot, he could slip aboard unnoticed. He knew they were going to get Walt either way, so he did the heroic thing since he had the gun. Anyone else think that could have happened?

And I think Michael might be the one to drown/die. Maybe not. My head is spinning as well.

OK, I remember now, thanks! Geez, makes me really regret deleting all my saved episodes- what was I thinking??? Now what am I going to do until fall? I hadn't made the polar bear connection, I wonder about that- also about the different climates...

Disney Enthusiast- I was thinking the same thing about Sawyer, not necessarily that he wasn't shot, but that he would maybe wind up on the boat and save everyone or something along those lines.
