My speculation is that Jack's wife is dead. (Something to do with pregnancy, I'll bet) I think that because of his reaction when he heard that the woman his dad killed(?) was pregnant. Since we saw him get married, they've got to do something with the wife, before the plane took off. Jack is too principled to be giving the eye to Kate if he's married. Right? Right?

Oh, I love this show, but am I ever confused!

I was thinking that Jack's wife might have gotten hurt again (or sick) and he was unable to save her this time. That could be the reason he didn't want to leave Boone - he wanted so desperately to save him (remembering how he couldn't save his wife?). Where do you think Locke went and why?

I cried at the end when Shannon was with Boone. I can't believe he died. He was so nice to look at. I thought for sure one of those other castaways we've never met before would die instead of someone from the main cast.

I'm thinking the baby will be named Boone, but maybe not.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack is still married and will hit on Kate. After seeing what Shannon and Boone did in that one episode nothing surprises me anymore.

I love this show.. but why was Locke nowhere to be found when Boone passed. I thought those 2 were pretty tight. Hmmm.

Next week is a new episode, right? I hope so.

OK, did anyone else think that Jack was going to leave his bride at the alter when he started his vows. Even when he finished speaking I thought, "those are his vows?" I wonder where this is all going to lead to.

I thought so too! But when I realized those were his vows, I got weepy (it was a several kleenex night for me, I'm a wuss), I thought they were so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so glad he didn't leave her, I was all set to start blaming his dad for him leaving her at the alter LOL. Where was his mom??

Ok - Hello people?!?!?! Did anyone see Locke get SHOT in the previews?!?!?!?!

I was kinda disappointed the death was so obvious - but I had the total willies when they were thinking about cutting his leg off (then what, Jack? oye!) Sad to see Boone go...I kinda liked him and Locke..

but the previews for the next few episodes?!? DANG!!

When Jacks father told him the night before the wedding that he had trouble letting go I wonder what he was referring too. Was Jack married to someone else before? Does anyone have any ideas? Did I miss something. Thanks

Yeah, what's up with Locke getting shot? Is it me or did it look like Jack shot him?

I agree with MariettaC, I think Jack's wife died and he couldn't stop her from dying and that's why he's so hell bent on trying to save Boone, 1) because he made a promise to Boone and 2) he couldn't let go (just like he said to his wife)

I was sooo hoping that Jack wasn't going to chop off his leg. That would have been horrible. I kept thinking back to the marshall and how Jack was "merciful" and shot him. I was wondering why he didn't do the same for Boone.

Wasn't it Sawyer who shot the marshall, because Jack didn't want to do it.?

Okay, did anybody just see Boone on GMA? I thought he was going to say that he left the show because he's doing a movie or something. Instead, they just killed him off and told him about it 2 weeks before filming!

Okay, first question... What percentage of last nights show did you watch from behind your hands, peeking through your fingers...lol I know I was that was from the minute Jack went to stab that pole thing through Boone's chest so he could breathe.

Secondly.. Am I the only one buying this as the character that dies? It's too obvious for this show. Why do I get the feeling that Boone will come back to life (hey, it worked for Charlie).

Third.. the ultimate betrayal was the Locke didn't tell Jack that Boone fell off the cliff in a plane? How could that have helped save Boone? Yeah, Jack did notice that Boone's leg was crushed later but could anything have been done? Boone was supposedly bleeding internally.

Something doesn't seem... right... to me about this.

Oh.. and did anyone catch the name of the actress that played Jack's fiancee?

Last week when Boone fell, Locke carried him to Jack and then left. If the timelines were running concurrently, then Jack was trying to save Boone, Locke was banging on the hatch & Claire was having her baby all at the same time. Does anyone think that the light going on in that hatch may have happened at the exact moment that either Boone died OR Claire's baby was born?

Everything on this show is on purpose and no small detail seems to be an accident.

Remember when Jack was helping Sawyer with the glasses and the paper he showed him said "Better or Worse"? Now with the wedding vows...
