Some Lost news reported by spoilerfix (not a spoiler):

03/19 - ABC will air a one-hour "introductory guide" to Lost. The special is designed to help new viewers catch up on the series' sometimes dense mythology as well as act as a refresher course for regular fans. The "Lost" special, set to air on Wednesday, April 27 at 8:00/7:00c (the show's regular time period), will focus on the characters of Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and retell their respective backstories in a linear fashion. It's unclear however how the clips will be introduced and if the hour will include any "behind-the-scenes"-type footage. Source: TheFutonCritic

This seems like a really dumb idea to me. New viewers can't just substitute a one hour special for missing all the episodes, and old viewers have already seen the episodes (probably twice). It seems like just a reason to not show a new episode more than anything helpful or interesting. Lame.

I totally agree that new viewers won't be able to catch on with just this one hour special. Viewers that have seen episodes here and there might be able to fill in the gaps.

I guess I mis-read this or I was thinking of something else, but I thought it was going to have never before seen footage that helped explain a few things. I wonder if I read that somewhere else or if I'm going crazy (which is entirely possible ).

A refresher course for regular fans? Please. If they would keep showing new episodes instead of going back to the beginning and then showing a new episode and then showing an old one again, we wouldn't need a refresher course!

The "Lost" hour, set to air April 27 in the show's normal timeslot, will be of particular interest to current fans of the show. That's because the special will take the bits and pieces of information the show has doled out about six main characters over the last six months -- and retell their stories in a linear fashion.

"You get to see how these characters are all interwoven and just how deep this show is," Benson said.

Special -- from Metropolitan/ Hodder Group -- will focus on the characters of Jack, Kate, Locke, Sawyer, Charlie and Sayid. "What we did was break it down to a core of characters that seem to cross back and forth between everyone's lives," Taylor said, adding that there'll also be a segment on the island itself.

03/23 - According to J.J. Abrams, is that the actress behind the castaway, L. Scott Caldwell, landed a play and has been unavailable. However, J.J. says viewers "will definitely see Rose again." Thanks for the link. I wish they weren't going to kill someone off, and if you think about it the whole show is a cliffhanger. Most times at the end of an episode I have more questions than answers. It's going to be a long summer waiting for new episodes.

Kristen wrote this in her Monday chat to explain why Michael (Harold P.) was not interviewed. I agree that it may be a clue, though.

This was her answer as to who the 8 castmembers were that she interviewed at the Paley Festival:

Kristen: All the ones who were at the Paley Festival (with, sadly, the exception of Harold Perrineau, who got pulled into the session right as he got to me on the line). They are: Dom Monaghan, Josh Holloway, Jorge Garcia, Ian Somerhalder, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Matthew Fox and Naveen Andrews. If you are a Lost fan you must come back this Friday. Must, must.

What I found odd was Naveen Andrews (Sayid) comment "Sometimes the show actually surprises me. I watch it, and I think I'm actually proud to be on it sometimes."

I just think the "actually proud sometimes" part is a little strange when you're on one of the hottest shows on TV.

I also thought it was interesting when they polled the audience and asked how many thought Locke was good and evil. It was 50/50. When they polled the castmembers, only one person thought he was good and that was Boone. Interesting!


I'm officially putting Michael on death watch and here's why:
Locke will disappear, but I think he will reappear because he supposedly lies and causes the death. Michael, Walt and Locke have this relationship triangle going on. Family would be the ultimate betrayal. I think Walt is deeply tied to the island and Locke knows it (although him losing his ability to walk again may change some things) so Locke would take "guardianship" or the parent role over Walt.

If the death occurs when Claire has her baby, as one spoiler suggested, then it should happen Wednesday after next.
