DH and I were talking about the same thing!

Should we all play those numbers in the lottery this weekend?

Yes, Danielle must have changed the transmission right after Lenny and Sam heard it because they heard numbers through the static, she was talking on her transmission.

Also, the lottery hadn't been won in 16 weeks before Hurley won it.

A side note, don't know if this will mean anything or not, the lotto girl was the same girl in the hotel with Sawyer (the same actress played both parts). They showed her face at first, then when Hurley held up his lotto ticket to compare the numbers the ticket covered her face. This could be Hurley's tie to Sawyer, or they could have just wanted us to focus on the numbers and everything I just typed would be meaningless  .

The flight number was 815. Think the safety deposit box was too.

I still want to know what the connection is between Kate and Sawyer. I swear it seems as though they knew each other before they landed on the island.

I just checked the transcripts. The safety deposit box was definitely 815. Which, when you add them up = 23! Ughhhhhh!!! :badpc:

I do remember him saying "Hurley" isn't his real name. May have been the episode where he was doing the census. I can't remember if he said how he got the nickname.

He said something like: Hurley isn't my real name. Why do they call me Hurley? I'll never tell.

Matt and I almost died last night.. we were watching the news when they started the drawing for Lotto South. First number... 15. Second number ... 23. Thank God it stopped after that. I was getting scared! :crazy2:  :scared:

Check this out: (highlight to read)

As for the season finale, this is what Watch with Kristin has to say: "We'll go back to the very beginning, when they all boarded the plane. Also...Ha! Love it! Just got a call from a source who wanted to spread this word to you: There's buzz over at camp Lost that there's going to be an episode from the perspective of the dog, Vincent! And it's actually very relevant, because we see what happened in the cargo hold."

Great episode! Hurley's backstory was probably the most eagerly awaited and it sure wasnt' disappointing. Does this cover all the regulars? Are there any other backstories left to be told? (besides Walt, who was in Michael's, and Vincent, whose backstory would involve fire hydrants and chasing cats :teeth: )
I don't think this is a spoiler, but I will post it in white. Just to let you know it says who will have another flashback episode before the season finale.

Shannon hasn't had her own backstory and neither has Walt. I think everyone else has (except Vincent who I hear will have one ;). Before the season finale, Jack, Locke, Sayid, and Kate will have another.

maybe the monster will have an episode :)
can anybody confirm that you hear the sound of the monster before the plane crashes? after all it dies fly (know idea how high though). somebody at work brought this up.
i think it was just the sound of the plane beginning to bend.

Well, I know a lot of people were speculating the "monster sound" sounded mechanical. Remember when we first heard it that night on the beach? I was not thinking it was a creature at all. I think Kate & Jack were talking about looking for the cockpit, when the noise started. I actually thought it was the cockpit falling or rolling down the mountain and that it was going to roll out onto the beach. That was before they cut to commercial and came back and made it look like a dinosaur ruffling the trees.

I never thought that it flew. I always thought that it was just really tall.

I never thought it flew either, just big enough to topple trees, and deposit pilots in the top of them.
