First of all welcome to the DIS!! I can't believe an internet search led you to us. LOL!!!! As you can see "Lost" has a pretty big fan base here. Even though you came here to talk about "Lost" feel free to join in some of the other conversations. The community board is for everything, not just Disney stuff. We've got a great group of people here.

Seems to leave more questions than answers!!!

That's this show in a nutshell. Every episode leaves us with more questions. But, it's great, so hang in there!! As far as the monster goes, we don't know what it is. There have been lots of theories flying around though. Some people thought that it might be something mechanical (it kind of sounds mechanical). Some people thought it might be a culmination of the "survivors" fears. I know it would take a long time, but try looking through the thread. There have been many theories posted and many links provided for spoilers and interviews.

I'm not entirely sure of all the characters names yet Only Jack and Kate ... and Claire is the pregnant girl? Charlie is the drug addict? Sayid is the guy that fixed the radio? Sawyer I don't know. Or have I got Charlie and Sawyer around the wrong way? Have to say, I like Jack. Although that might be cos I was a big fan of Pof5.

And yes, it is a small world! I think my google search led me to the 2nd page of this thread - I also found the unofficial site but the spoilers were all for the current episodes - none for the first few. And I thought for sure that you would know what the 'thing' is! Ah well .... at least I'm in the right place to find out as soon as you guys do!

Well actually thats what I had to do to find this thread after the Christmas break. I just googled dis and lost and poof there it was. I now have it bookmarked..lol I have no idea how many pages back it was.

Hi, I didn't catch the show but my daughter said that the third person was kate crying, so i guess kate is still alive. I just hope they don't kill off sawyer, he is so cute and his character so witty, mean but witty.

I looked at the previews and I think the third person carrying the body bad was Sayid. It also appears that Claire is still pregnant. I have a new DVR (not TIVO) and it doesn't have slo-mo

You were right, Charlie is the one with the drug addiction. If you saw any of the Lord of the Rings movies, he was one of the hobbits (Merry).

Well, we all "Knew" that Ethan couldn't talk a lot cause well then where would be the suspense but they could have given us a little something like why he was so interested in Claire. I was a little disappointed tonight but it won't stop me from watching next week

I can't go back and look at the tape right now, so I'll tell you what I can remember.
Ethan found Charlie and Jin in the woods, knocked Jin out, and told Charlie if he didn't have Claire back by sundown he would kill someone. He would kill someone every day until she was returned to him. Charlie went back and told Jack, Locke, Boone and Sayid. They eventually told everyone and they set up traps and a perimeter to keep Ethan from getting to anyone. It didn't work and Ethan came in from the water and killed Scott. Kate reminds Jack that they have 4 9mm guns so he finally gives in and shows them to Locke. He wants to track Ethan before he kills anyone else. Oh, btw, Claire has no memory of the other survivors or Ethan and is still pregnant. They decide to use Claire as bait to lure Ethan. Locke, Jack and Sayid get Sawyer to come along so there will 4 people with guns. They find out Sawyer has another gun and he gives it to Kate. So all 5 plus Claire go to lure Ethan. It works and he and Jack get in a fight. Jack beats the crap out of Ethan. They all have guns pointed at him and all of a sudden someone shoots him to death. It was Charlie. Don't know where Charlie got the gun from. Later Jack asked Charlie why he shot Ethan, Ethan might have been able to give them some information. Charlie says Ethan wouldn't have told them anything and he didn't want him getting anywhere near Claire. Through flashbacks we learned that Charlie had a relationship with a woman where he used her and felt really bad about it, so he's trying to make it up with Claire.
That's all I can remember.

When Jack was fighting with Ethan, he lost his gun and I never saw him pick it up again. I assumed that Charlie picked up Jack's gun.

I was a little disappointed tonight, there was a big build up and then I was let down..... I still do love this show though, I just hope it gets a little more exciting like in the beginning
