Lost AP!!! Couple of questions

Long story, but at the end of our last trip this summer, my daughter's AP accidentally went home with some out-of-state friends we were vacationing with. Our next trip is just three weeks away, and my friend is fairly certain the AP is now lost. :headache: Does Disney replace lost APs? I'm guessing they do, but at what cost? And how do we get her into the park without one? And since she's only 6, do I have to bring anything like a birth certificate or some such to prove her identity? Stress level is rising!!

I don't know if DLR replaces lost AP's. I would think they must, but one CM recenly told me that they "view tickets just like money" and "that is why we don't replace lost or stolen tickets." However, the AP may be different for them than the tickets because they have the photo on file and the personal info.

Go to Guest Services to the left of the Disneyland turnstiles. As long as the rest of your family have your AP's you shouldn't need a birth certificate. They can pull up her information and print her a new AP right on the spot. They most likely will charge you $20 for it, but if you are real sweet and get a nice CM, they might waive the fee.

Have a fantastic time!

I'll echo what DangerMouse wrote above. I lost my AP earlier this year and had it quickly replaced at Guest Services for $20.

I've read other reports that if the lost AP was stolen (e.g. wallet or purse stolen) and you have a copy of a police report, the CMs will waive the fee. Otherwise, it is $20 for a replacement.

... and the reason you can do it without an ID is that her picture is on the ID they will issue. :)

Thank you - so good to know we can get it replaced without too much of a hassle or cost.

Can anyone tell me what time Guest Services opens? Are they open before the main gate opens?

Yes, they should be open the same time the ticket windows open - 30 min prior to official park opening.

They even mailed my daughter's to us in Canada free of charge! she lost it on the sun wheel on our last day there, and we reported it to guest services :thumbsup2

I know it isn't DisneyLand but I'm in Orlando and guest services replaced my sons pass with no charge. I don't know if that is the normaly procedure. I know that I did have problems with my pass several times with it not working in the turnstiles and they didn't charge for that either.

At WDW they replace them for free. Harumph. But at DLR, unless it's stolen and you have a police report, or unless you get a super-sweet CM, you pay $20. Sigh.

We're still hoping they find hubby and son's APs, which hubby lost right before the loop on Screamin'. His lanyard pouch was under the harness, and he thought it would be OK, but the forces ripped it right off. They search under the track every night, but didn't find it that night, and the next day was our last day (no time to wait for them to check a second night).

But they said that if they found it it would be in the system, so they'd print new ones for free. If they don't find it, next time we go we just pay the fee and get new ones printed.

I've never had to replace my AP but about a year or so ago I took my neighbor's DD with us and she grabbed the wrong AP. It was hers, but a previous one that had already expired. :scared1: Since I wasn't her parent, I wasn't even sure if I could get her a replacement one.

It was no problem. We went to the outside GS and got her a new one. They didn't even charge for it. :goodvibes No worries!

Have fun!
