Losing weight for trip...Aug. 2011

Just found you guys - I am from Jersey too - funny thing is, I was down 35 lbs due to stress and depression in January when I took a leave from my job. I have put it all back on. Now, I don't think I could loose all that in 45 days, but I would be happy with 10-20 before our trip to Disney (I think we will be there the same time JerseyGirl. I think I will go for a bike ride after I get the girls in bed ( I know, it is late, but it is summer vacation :)


I think we will be there the same time, how cool is that?! Where are you staying? We will be at CBR. I'm bummed that I didn't lose the weight I wanted and needed to before vacation. I have a month, I'm hoping to be extra good and my goal is to lose 10 before vacation. It's so hard to exercise in this terrible heat tho.
 
Good Morning all! I'm down .8 lb since Monday! Progress is being made!

Good for you! me too! I'm hoping to round it off to an even pound by tomorrow and start fresh to start loosing 2 pounds next week. Going back to zumba class tomorrow morning!
 
I just found this thread, I have been doing the weight loss since the end of March. I am really trying to lose enough weight to not have to ask for a seatbelt extension, and to have more stamina in the parks...those are my two main goals.
Since the end of March I have lost 55 lbs so far....I just spent 3 weeks + on a plateau, but I think I am off that plateau now having lost 5 lbs this week. I feel like I can lose another 25-30 before our trip at the end of September

Okay, wish me luck, My 6yr old daughter and I are heading to wdw Sat- Fri. My plan is to just get 1 plate for the 2 of us. I do not want to totally deny myself (it doesn't work to anyway), but I really got to watch the sweets. It's not only the calories, but if you remember, I had gastric bypass and if I eat more that 15gms of sugar I feel like death warmed over for 1-2 hours ( and yet it still is a temptation that I overindulge in from time to time, such stupidity) So I gotta pledge no more than 2 bites of a sweet.....I think I can do it, I really do not like to get sick in public. I just got back from a 4 day trip to St Louis with my other daughter and was able to lose 1# despite eating out 3 meals a day, so I have high hopes with all the walking and swimming. I'll let you know when I get back!

Okay y'all. I made it back from disney and did well! i ate a little of everything and lost 4#, which brings me to my 100# weight loss....yeah:woohoo:!!! Still have about 60ish to lose, but I'll keep plugging away!

I had desserts but kept it to 2-3 bites and just split plates with my daughter, between the 2 of us, I don't think we ever finished a plate.

I was really bad about my vitamins, but now that I am home I'm getting back into my routine!

Keep working hard everyone!

It is so motivational to see all these great stories. I was wondering if anyone else was doing this. I started working out and eating better on January 13th, 2011 and after losing 40 pounds I decided that I would make my ultimate goal to lose 133 pounds before May 19th, 2012 and take a trip to Disney World. I'm so excited that I try to plan something for this vacation to keep me going. As of this morning, I am down 80.8 pounds, which means I am only 52.2 pounds from my goal. I'm not sure if it is really a realistic goal, but I've been there before, so I should be able to do it again.

Great job everyone. Keep posting your success stories. I love to hear about them.

Well, your'e exercising, I'm not. I'm losing about 2lbs a week. Maybe you're gaining muscle, while losing fat?
 
HI! Can I join yo? I lost about 58 pounds last year(2011) for my first disney trip, this year, I have to lose it again because of some stress going on at home and meds I regained it BUT I have in my head(and DH's support) that if I did it once, I could do it again! After getting off of the meds and exercising/eating right, I am down 5 pounds!:)
