Hi All:wave2:

I haven't posted in awhile, but I wanted to pop in and say I made my first goal weight of losing 10 lbs.:yay:. Except that only my husband has noticed, well at least that's one person in the world. And my clothes don't feel so tight!
I have at least another 10 to loose ( or hopefully more) before our trip in August. I figure 5 lbs a month should be attainable- right?

Today was not a great day with food, but two of my roommates from college and their families came to my house for breakfast and lunch. We haven't all been together since we graduated 15 years ago. So that was a reason to celebrate and none of us were counting calories.

But even though I fell off the wagon one day doesn't mean I can't climb back on tomorrow!

Thanks for everyones support on the boards.

Congrat on reaching your goal of 10 pounds. :cheer2: Sounds like you are doing wonderful. You are not beating yourself up for having a fun day with old friends and you plan to get right back on track. That's the way to do it. You will be doing this for the rest of your life and there will be days that you fall off the wagon...it's how fast you get back on that is the key. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliments and for reading my trip report. :thanks: I will be posting the before and after pics that I put here in the trip report also.

Keep up the great work,

Loralie

Just found this post and I'm in! Haven't caught up on all the posts yet but I find myself nodding my head in agreement to alot of what I have read. I tried WW a few years ago but the leader here was not very pleasant and I got tired of her real quick. The last few months, we did a biggest loser thing at work, and although I didn't win, I did manage to lose 14 lbs so I figure I'm a winner anyways! :thumbsup2

We just got Wii Fit a week ago and I've been trying to do that everyday as well. I was surprised at just how much of a workout it really gives you. My aunt bought the new Wii Active and that's next on my list of buys, it's really good. You don't have to have the board to use it and it gives you more of a workout then the Fit does. Sorry if this has been posted already, it will take me a few days to get through all the past posts!

My main goal is to be healthier and able to do all 4 parks in 8 days for our first visit to WDW in Oct. I've even promised my DS that when we get down there I'll allow photos to be taken of me! :lmao: I normally do all the picture taking as I HATE my picture being taken. Oh and I'm also a fun-size as well, 5 feet even and way too much weight! I can't blame it on having DS as I actually lost weight when I had him, too bad I couldn't have 40 kids, I might just lose all I need to lose! :rotfl2: Weight problems run in our family big time so it's been something I've struggled with since I was little. Yep, I was always the "fat kid" everyone picked on. :sad2:

For all those bread lovers out there -- I did find a bread that is only 100 calories per 2 pieces and it has higher fiber then normal. It's really thin and comes in a multi-grain style and a white style (great for the kids who refuse multi-grain!) I'll get the name of it if anyone is interested. It doesn't taste bad at all and actually makes a sandwich taste better IMO.

Thanks for starting a great thread! Now it's time to get off this chair and go do some work!

Mind if I join?

My Disney swimsuit arrived today and I look horrible! How did my arms get so chubby? I started a exercise video today and it kicked my butt! It's called "30 day Shred" and it features the woman from Biggest Loser (never seen the show). I am hoping to lose 20lbs in 55 days, in time for Disney.:cool1:

I just found this thread. Good luck to everyone. Losing weight is so hard. I have been trying most of my life. We were in Disney in Oct or 2008 and I weighed 255. My all time heaviest. I absolultely hated just to get dressed. I started dietine on Nov 7 and am down 61lbs. Yeah me!!!!!!!! I would still like to lose another 69lbs but at least 24lbs by Aug 9 when I check in to Disney. One of my main things that keep me going is that it is a life change, not a diet. Also don't let a "cheat moment" turn into a cheat day. Just keep going and take it day by day.

Wow, lots of new readers today! Welcome all! The more the merrier.

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, I've been using it for the last few months and have seen great results. It's hard to believe that such a quick workout gives such noticeable results. I love it!

I looked at the new wii personal trainer thing today and wondered about getting it. I would like to lose about 25-30 pounds before we go and time is ticking away. I have alot of weight right in my belly. It's like I never lost if from being pregnant 9 years ago. Any suggestions on giving it a jumpstart?:confused3

I'm so glad it's working for you! Yesterday was my first time using it and I am so sore this morning.

Ok, so today was day 2 of exercise. MY neighbor and I have started walking around the subdivision. I will say my legs burn. Some of the hills are dooses. So I have a question for those that are using wii active and 30 day shred. What are the things you like and dislike about them? I'm trying to decide what I want.

I love the 30 Day Shred for lots of reasons. The first one being I've been a fan of Jillian Michaels since the first season of the Biggest Loser. Several people at work recommended the DVD to me. There are three levels which in the beginning means that as you become stronger and more fit, you step up the level. After you've been through all the levels you can mix them up as you like just to keep things interesting. All you need are some handweights (I started with 8lbs but they were a bit much so I bought some 3lbs. Now I switch it up and use the 8's when I want to increase the intensity.

Another thing I like is that it's an all over workout. The method is 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, 1 minute of abs and you do that three times to complete the workout. You are continually working arms and legs at the same time. It's pretty intense and makes you sweat but feel fantastic!

I can't say enough good things about this workout.

I haven't lost weight this week, but that's okay. I feel like I'm getting my waist back. I've been doing the active religiously and I think I'm trading fat for muscle. My energy level has improved also. Hopefully by next week I'll see the numbers go down.

That sounds really good, I'll have to check that out! I'm getting really bored with my elliptical machine, I'd like to have something else to do so I only have to use the machine every other day!

mind if i join you all too?

It was my disney pictures from last year that made me realize I had let myself go :headache: I quit smoking and replaced that habit with food. Now I am down 27lbs and still losing
I just got wii active and have started the 30 day challenge. I am hoping to be at least 15lbs lighter for our sept disney trip.

I found this book called crack the fat loss code and I followed it perfectly the 1st week and lost 9lbs that 1st week, it is VERY low carb that 1st week which is hard but doable. I also drink a TON of water everyday

I would like to join in also! I am desperate to lose 50#s but I can't get motivated. It is so frustrating and I think about it all the time, but I can't stop eating!:headache: We went to WDW last year and I was so uncomfortable, it was extremely hot and I felt like a big pig. My dh never gains anything and he eats like there's no tomorrow and my weight doesn't bother him(at least he never says anything). He says he'll be supportive but than the weekend comes and he's like where should we go to eat? I know it's just an excuse for my laziness but I need help! I have tried everything under the sun and nothing seems to sick for me. I know if I would exercise that would help but I'm always so tired.

Anyways, you all seem really supportive and I'd like to give this another try. We have a trip planned in Nov and I'd like to be in the pictures this time since last year I refused to be in them because I knew how bad I looked.:scared1:

So I was watching one of the videos on TheBestLife.com by Bob Greene (Oprah's trainer granted if she'd stick to her diet she would probably do better)

Apparently cutting out all Soda and sugar drinks can help you drop and keep off over 38lbs a year ... that's an easy 3 to 4 lbs a month. So think about that next time your out to eat and order coke, sweet tea, or that cocktail.

:confused3 I have to remember just cause its tea its just as bad as coke and I should choose water and that way maybe the water will curve my appetite away from the complimentary rolls... LOL :rotfl: Rolls are so bad especially O'Charle's (OMG 2 good) oh well ....

Any how I figured I would share that interesting fact.
