Losing Pounds or Losing My Mind for Disney 05/2016 PTR

I love both shirts!
And the bunny is super cute too.

Thank you, thank you!!!! I just love my bunny bun bun! Her name is now Penelope

I love your shirts! That Lilo shirt is too cute!! Penelope is a doll. I have had 3 bunnies myself. 2 Lionheads and a Netherland Dwarf. They've all passed now; my last one in November. :(. I have 2 cats to cuddle though. Sorry to hear the weightloss isn't going as well as you want. Mine isn't either. I'm still at 11 pounds. Trying to get on it this week again.

I love bunnies!! I've had bunnies since I was in high school. The weight loss is what it is. My motivation is totally gonzo at this point.

Bunnyyyyyyyyy!!!!

You are getting so close! We have 18 days! :woohoo:

Are you going to be writing a trip report about it?? I hope so!!!

Glad to hear FP+ went well. Yippee for your trip! Very cute shirts, too :)

Thanks. :cat:

I love your dog's Mike Wazowski tag! And your Ohana shirt is super cute!

I approve of your Coronado Springs choice, we love it there, such pretty grounds and definitely a big step up from the values. My Disney obsession has only been growing the older I get, I am sure you will have so many more magical trips with your daughter. Plus my mom now appreciates that I can help chip in and pay for some of the extra stuff on trips so we get to take even more trips!

Oh, we LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Coronado the last time we stayed there!!! I'm sure Victoria and I will continue to go on trips together. I think I'm just having a hard time knowing she's graduating this year. 2 months to be exact. Where did the time go. Yes, I always get Cutie a new tag in Disney. I'm not sure what I'll be getting her this year.

You are so talented! The LILO shirt is beyond cute! I hear ya about the weight loss blues ....... But hey! We're going to DISNEY! Lol

Not really talented! Without the computer I wouldn't be able to do most of it! Yes, yes we are going to Disney. Yahoo!!!!

Super cute Lilo Shirt. You are so close...........
And bunny is so cute! :)

thanks :flower1:

We left off on arrival day with us being in Disney Springs for lupper and the make sure I have the Photopass plus with the annual pass. I'm not sure how long we will be spending there. I think I may want to get back to the resort and unpack, provided my luggage has been delivered to the room by then. Maybe we'll also have a chance to go swimming?? All depends on the weather and timing. Then you all know what we'll be doing that evening, right? No? Well, it's spelled out in post #51. Go ahead, check it out....I'll wait...... :rolleyes1 Done? Ok, cool!! So yea, Top of the World lounge for fireworks! It should be awesome!! Afterwards it will be back to OKW for bed time.

Day One ---- EPCOT DAY!!! (photos courteousy of Photobucket -- not mine)

The day will start out with breakfast at Olivia's which is the ts restaurant right there at OKW.

I believe they have the usually bounty platter type thing, so that will probably be shared. I wonder if they have POG juice? If so, I cannot wait! I love that stuff!!!

After Olivia's it will be to the busses to get to EPCOT. Unfortunately Soarin is down for refurbishment, so our fast passes include Character Spot, Spaceship Earth and Test Track. I just don't like the whole tiering at Epcot. I honestly, truly, realistically do not feel Living with the Land should be a tier 1. Nope! I can guarantee that even if the line is 45 minutes, I will wait for LwtL!!! We especially love seeing the chickens!!!

My days aren't usually planned right down to the hour, so it will be a play it by ear and around the fast passes kind of day. Lunch and Dinner are not scheduled so who knows where those will be. You know, after going on 5 trips (I think) with Peter and ALWAYS eating at Sunshine Seasons, Peter finally admitted he hates that place. OMG!!! It's one of Victoria and my favorite places for quick service. Unbelievable! So, I'm thinking we'll maybe hit up the quick service in China. I hear that the food is good, even if we are picky eaters. Again, we'll just have to wait and see. Besides, the Flower and Garden Festival will be happening so I'm sure there will be no shortage of food available. I would really like to stay to watch Illuminations, but last year none of my family wanted to. That bummed me out as it's my favorite fireworks show. Maybe I'll just have to stay by myself and let them go back to the resort. Or maybe we'll all go back to the resort in the afternoon and come back for Illuminations. See how my plans are set in stone? Amazing, huh?

There are a lot of awesome food options in Epcot - I'm sure you'll find some yummy food to eat!
You have to make sure to see Illuminations. Even if nobody else wants to see it. I saw it for the first time in a few years in January ... I had forgotten how much I love it. It's so amazing!!!

Your trip is really getting close now!
I  the Magic Band stickers you made! Wow!
Chip and Dale are my top characters beside Mickey and Minnie - so of course I was really drawn to them.
The aliens one is really great too!

:flower1:

Oh and great news about the mother-daughter trip! CSR is a great resort. We really enjoyed our stay there.

I'm so glad to see your trip is coming along so well! I've miss following along!

My old girl is 10 now, but she's still very playful! I love her to death!!
AWWW shes a precious baby! What is her name??
so, yeah!!! 2 trips within a 3 month period!!!! YAY!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS YAYAYAYAYAYYYY! That is AWESOME!
Would you believe Peter is already packed?
Oh...my...goodess.....I LOVE IT! I'm slowly starting to put things aside for my trip. But I couldn't imagine packing clothes yet! Men.. hahaha
yep, my new baby girl bunny Penelope!!!!
BUNNY!!
Day One ---- EPCOT DAY!!!
Our first day is Epcot too!
We left off on arrival day with us being in Disney Springs
AHH! Our arrival evening is at Disney Springs also!
I agree with everything you have to say here. So sad about Soarin, and truly do not understand how LwtL is tier one, but I'd wait forever for it!! Can't miss those chickens!
I would really like to stay to watch Illuminations, but last year none of my family wanted to. That bummed me out as it's my favorite fireworks show.
Aww if I was down the same time you were, I'd watch Illuminations with you!!

I am NOT happy!

This is regarding my daughter Victoria Goodrich’s name change to Victoria Melancon. First of all, we were at Kennebec County Probate court on February 18th (her 18th birthday) around 1pm and were told the court order changing her name would be signed on March 14th, as we had made it in by the deadline.

We thought all was wonderful. We would have the order in time to get her state id (which takes 14 to 21 business days to obtain) and that would be plenty of time for us to have it in hand by our May 13th trip to Florida.

I called the Probate Court about one week after March 14th to inquire where her order was. I was told that it wasn’t put into the Legal Notices in time so the order couldn’t get signed on March 14th. What??!!! We had the printed deadlines that the clerk gave us and it stated plain as day she was within the time frame to have her order signed! THE BALL WAS DROPPED AND IT WASN’T BY US! I was told the next day that the judge would sign orders would be today, April 11th and if I called beforehand, I would be able to pick it up.

Based on what I was told, I scheduled the afternoon off, made arrangements to pick up Victoria early from high school, pick up the paperwork and go to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to apply for her state id. Okay, the 14 – 21 days it will take to get her id card would take us to May 10th provided that all goes well with no hiccups like we’ve experienced with the Probate Court. We are flying out May 13th. Do you see why I’m nervous now? Without a state id, at the age of 18, Victoria will not be able to fly!!!!

So I call this morning just to make sure all the duckies are in a row and I was told that the order may not even be ready for me to pick up at 1pm?!!! WHAT???!!!! I am now beyond upset (and that’s putting it mildly!!) I was told now to call right before I leave and see if the order is out of the court. Now, considering all the things I was previously told, is this information something I can believe in or not?

I am a regular participant for DHHS in the courtroom. I know that the judges walk in and out of the court rooms and that the clerks can easily request that Victoria’s order be one of the first ones signed and taken to the clerk’s office. Let’s face it --- Probate court is small. You cannot tell me that a clerk cannot take an approximately 12 foot walk to get the order. I know that even the bailiff can take the order to the clerk’s office as I’ve seen them go in and out of the courtroom.

I needed to vent. I don’t know what more I can do. I’m expected to keep deadlines, why aren’t other people?

What the heck? How hard is it for them to get the court order signed? This is insane!
I hope all of this gets taken care of ASAP and you can get her ID in time for the trip.

Now, it would be way too mean to not let you all in on how the rest of the day went.......

So, 1pm came around and I was ready to leave the office. I called the Probate Court to see if perhaps the court order was signed and ready for me to pick up. By the love of the Lord, it was! Ok. OMG OMG OMG!!! My day can now continue as planned.....or can it? I did go to the court and picked it up and then it was off to pick up Miss Melancon. I left her court order right on the dash of the car for her to read it. She was very happy. Ok, munchkin, off to Social Security Administration to apply for a new Social Security card. Waiting about 30 minutes, but that was relatively painless. Now it was off to BMV for the State ID. Know that these places are on opposite sides of the city! There was only about a 15 minute wait there --- unbelievable for BMV!! I explained to the worker that we were leaving on May 13th and can we rush it? He said that it would take 14 to 21 days. I said I knew that and that would take us until May 10th and that was a little too close for comfort. He said don't worry, you'll have it. He then led Victoria over to take her picture. He told us to meet him back at the desk. Ok. Why, I didn't know. He then said he was calling the central office to see if they can get one printed TODAY!!!! YEP!!! Central Office said yes!!! THERE'S SOME PIXIE MAGIC!!!! We now have Victoria's state id in hand!!!!

AND DID I TELL YOU GUYS I'M AT DAY 32??!!!!!!! :dogdance:

Yay! I'm so glad everything worked out.

Also ... YOU'RE GOING TO BE AT DISNEY IN A LITTLE OVER A MONTH!!! So exciting!!

Yea! Pre trip Pixie dust!

So, I have to share this:

Yep, they will ship anytime!! I cannot wait! That means I better be printing up the Magic Band covers. OMG!!! I am getting so excited!! You guys just can't imagine how much I need a vacation right now! With all the drama of yesterday I'm just plumb tuckered out! It's been such a yucky Spring, too. It's been unusually cold and damp. I am ready for warm temp, sunshine and a hot tub!!!

There are a lot of awesome food options in Epcot - I'm sure you'll find some yummy food to eat!

Yeah, I just saw on someone else's TR that there's mini lazagna at one place. I'm going to be all over that one!!! And I am extremely determined to see Illuminations....even if I'm the only one!

Have you ever stayed at OKW before?

Nope, this will be the first time. I'm excited!!!

Your trip is really getting close now!

Thanks!!! As I've said I love to make those stickers, but I hear the Magic Bands are slimmer now?? So, I think we'll have to trim them a bit to make them fit.

Oh and great news about the mother-daughter trip! CSR is a great resort. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Thanks. I'll be going into debt for that one, but it looks like my last trip with just Victoria and I before she has to "adult". We loved Coronado when we stayed there. I especially love the snacks at the Business Class lounge! It all comes back to food, huh? LOL!

I'm so glad to see your trip is coming along so well! I've miss following along! AWWW shes a precious baby! What is her name?? OH MY GOODNESS YAYAYAYAYAYYYY! That is AWESOME!

My doggie is named Cutie and the new bunny is Penelope. Hey, you never know....maybe someday we'll be there at the same time and watch Illuminations together!

What the heck? How hard is it for them to get the court order signed? This is insane! I hope all of this gets taken care of ASAP and you can get her ID in time for the trip.

As you've read, everything turned out ok. I can't imagine what would have happened if it hadn't worked out.

That stinks! I'm so sorry! Fingers crossed that things happen in time!

Time for Pixie Dust Magic!!!

Yay! I'm so glad everything worked out. Also ... YOU'RE GOING TO BE AT DISNEY IN A LITTLE OVER A MONTH!!! So exciting!!

It's now 29 days and counting.....OMG!!!!!

Yea! Pre trip Pixie dust!

Isn't that wonderful!!!????

So glad it went as planned. Pixie dust indeed! Woo hoo! :)

MAGIC!!!!

Old Key West is beautiful - and very big! It's really spread out, but there are several bus stops within the resort itself. We enjoyed our breakfasts at Olivia's, and the quiet pool. I'm sure our kids would have preferred the big pool in the front of the resort, but it was just us.

Hello my peeps!! Guess what day it is??? No, not Hump Day!! But it is Day 24 until we go to Disney!!! Can I get a yahoo!! YYYYAAAAHHHOOOOOOO!

Our magic bands came in and both Peter’s and mine have the stickers on them now. Victoria is still undecided on what sticker to have on hers. She needs to make up her mind or else she’ll have her plain orange magic band! Not that it is bad!!

So, I’m going to be making up some t-shirts that say Grad (Victoria) Mom of the graduate (me) and Dad of the graduate (Peter). I’ll have to get Victoria a white t-shirt for the transfer. Hopefully I’ll be getting around to making these this weekend. Last weekend I worked every day at Party City. We are now short one person so I picked up the slack. I’m exhausted!!! But I love that job so much! I now know how to shrink wrap stuff….hey, I’m talented now!

I believe we left off with the second day of plans……MAGIC KINGDOM!!! Our day starts out with an 8:20am ADR for Crystal Palace. Yep, I love taking advantage of an empty Main Street for pictures. My plan is to start with Adventureland as most people head to Tomorrowland. I hope this strategy pays off and I also hope I’m not overridden! Victoria absolutely loves the People Mover and usually starts her trip that way. I’d really like to get as much done as possible in Adventureland and Frontierland before the crowds start to build. Now that I’m looking at my Fast Pass choices, I’m seeing Space Mountain at 10am. Ugh! That’s not going to work! I should go see if I can change it to a later time. My original fp’s are: 10 Space Mtn; 1:20 BTMRR and 4:20pm meeting Anna & Elsa. Ok, I’ve really got to rework this!!! See? This is what’s fantastic about writing a pre-trip report…..you get to see what may or may not work! Anyways, I’ll keep you posted on what we end up with.

As for lunch/supper plans it will be some counter service somewhere. I’d really like to eat at Pecos Bill’s, but will have to run that by the family. It all depends on where we are in the park as to where we will eat. Sometimes my blood sugar drops suddenly and I have to eat wherever we happen to be. Once our fp’s are all done, it will depend how everyone feels as to how much longer we stay at the park. Again, we’ll play it by ear!

Ok, I just finished updating the fp's: BTMRR 11am; Space Mountain 3pm; meet Anna & Elsa 4:20pm. Yep, this flows much better with my plans!!!
