Losing it (the second time around) Comments Welcome!

Hi! Glad to see that things are going well! It may be sacrilege, but I try not to weigh myself every day. My DH weighs every morning, but I limit myself to Tuedays and Fridays. Why those days? Well, Tuesday was my weigh-in day when I was on WW a decade ago, and old habits die hard. And Friday is the weigh-in day for the DIS Biggest Loser challenge. :)

I find that fluctuate a lot -- especially during the course of a day. I try not to fret too much about it. Note that I keep saying "try" -- because some mornings I can't seem to help myself!

Thanks for the advice!:thumbsup2 I really like weighing every day because it keeps me more honest but I should probably skip a few days if I go out to eat or I have a cheat meal so I won't be discouraged.
 
Today the scale said 241.4.:thumbsup2

That is .2 lbs down from yesterday.

Today was a 4 mile walk/run. Finished in 1:09:22. That is about 17:20 a mile!:thumbsup2 Woohoo! That pace is coming down. I did leisurely intervals today and I found the walk a lot more bearable than my other workouts. I just walked and then ran from point a to point b (like mailbox to streetlamp...) and tried not to pay attention to the time or my pace. It was a very good run:cool1:

Today was my cheat meal day. I went out to eat at a Hibachi. I got chicken and shrimp and vegetables (no rice or noodles). For dessert I made homemade brownies with icing. Yummy!:yay:


Today was a rest day but the family went for a walk this morning for about 30 minutes(leisurely stroll).
 
Note to self:

Do not eat 2 brownies with buttercream frosting when you haven't had sugar for a month.:sick: I feel pukey and I should have stopped at one.

In other news.......I am at 15.6 lbs lost. I would really like to meet my 20 lb goal by August 4th. Me and the hubs are going to the beach by ourselves for the first time in about 3 years. I joined the ymca last Friday. They have childcare so I am planning to utilize that to exercise as much as possible.:banana:
 
So I got food poisoning and was sick all day yesterday. Today I got back to exercising. I took the boys to the ymca today. I did 30 minutes on the arc trainer and 30 minutes walk/run on the treadmill(1.9 miles). My pace was 15:47! Hooray!

Went to the gym today. Did a 2 mile walk/run in 32:52. That is a 16:26 pace!:yay:. Also did 30 minutes on the arc trainer.

I was trying to wait until tomorrow to weigh but I couldn't. I weighed in at 239.8. That is .8 lbs down from last week. Not a lot......but I will take it:cool1:. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, 10 minutes on the treadmill, and 20 minutes on the arc trainer today. According to the machines I burned about 540 calories:thumbsup2
 
Did my 2.5 miles in 43:17 which makes about 17:18 minutes per mile:cool1:. I used a track close to my parents house so my mom could watch the babies.
 
Had some issues with the car so I couldn't go to the gym Monday or Tuesday. Today I was planning to go but it looks like DS 15mo has a cold so I don't want to bring him to the nursery(he might get the other kids sick). Maybe I can do some cardio when the hubs gets home from work.....or maybe a walk in the stroller.

Makes a total of 18.8 lbs.

Did a 4.4 mile walk on Saturday. I was supposed to do 5.5 but I waited too late in the day and got super hot. I don't really remember the time.
 
Quick update.
Tues. I did 30 minutes with a 17:07 pace. Wednesday I did 1 hr on the arc trainer (600+ calories burned). Today I did 2 miles with a 16:45 pace.:cool1: Been really busy this week but staying on track.
 
Weighed in 3 lbs up this past Saturday (Aug.4).

Today I did 50 minutes on the arc trainer. Saturday I did 3 miles with a 17:22 pace.
 
So I have continued to add back carbs and had been maintaining 3 lbs up from my last weigh in (240.8) since my last entry. Today I was 2 lbs down:cool1:. I have been working out at the gym about 6 days a week and trying to burn between 600 and 900 calories each visit. Hopefully this trend will continue. I have also come down to a 16:40 pace on my long run:thumbsup2.
 
Weighed in this past Saturday at 237.8. Over the past 6 weeks or so I have stayed about the same. I have been exercising a lot more but I have been having too many sweets. I currently have a cold:sick: so I am going to have to take off from exercising for a little while. I need to regain some focus so that I can lose more weight but it will have to wait until I am better.
