The family loves pasta and we're thinking of eating here but I've heard mixed reviews. Any advice? Thanks

We LOVE Alredos! I always get the fettuccine alfredo, it's delicious. DH tries a new dish each trip and hasn't had a bad one.

Last time DH and I went we sat in the corner of this separate smaller part of the restaurant, that I never new existed, it was pretty quiet back there.

The only thing I don't like is if your a party of 4 or less some of the tables are right next to others, very close. I'm sure that you could always request a table that's more isolated at check in though.

I know Alfredos get its fair share of complaints but we love it.

my DH and i ate there on our wedding night!! we thought it was wonderful!!!

i had been worried though because i had read so many conflicting reviews of the restaurant. but DH told me that we will go and make up our own minds as to how good the food is! and i'm glad we did...

i loved the caesar salad!!! and we both had the fettucine alfredo, which we both loved.

we were some of the lucky ones that didn't get stuck along the wall tables. those were very close together...we had a table in the center of the room and we had plenty of room!

i will say, though, that it is a tad on the pricey side. we spent about $100 for just the 2 of us with drinks, salads, dinner, and dessert...but it was wonderful anyway!

i would go back, but i want to try some of the other restaurants first...

we ate there as part of the candlelight dinner package last year. all i have to say is i wanted to lick the plate clean.!! it was fabulous!!

i usually take the recommendations here on a ymmv basis. i have often loved places that are just panned here (fulton's, for example) and disliked places that everyone here seems to love (flying fish).

i'd say try it out, if you like pasta, and form your own opinion. :)

Had an enjoyable dinner at Alfredo's ( antipasto, fettucini, lasagna, veal ) but was more impressed with Palio in the Swan.....Palio should be paying me for the endorsements I'm handing out today

We enjoyed our lunch at Alfredo's last week. The portions are large, so sharing is easy. Sis and I each got a small salad and shared an order of fettucini. It was pretty pricey. Add in the 2 sodas and I think the bill was around $30. The pasta was wonderful but REALLY rich. I don't think I could eat an entire dish myself for that reason. Salads were large also.

I've been to Alfredo's twice, once about 4 years ago for a late lunch and just a few weeks ago for dinner.

The first time it was my idea and we all loved it! I had the fettucini and it was delicious! We didn't try them again untill recently because of all the mixed reviews but we decided to try it and so glad we did! This time FH and I split a cesar salad, both had fettucini, and desserts. We could have both had a salad or starter and easily split the pasta-the portion is pretty substantial!
We'll definately be going back soon!

;)

Thanks for all of your input. I think we're going to put it on our to-do list.

We have givin Alfredo's a try twice and both times we did not like it. It is the one WDW restaurant that we will never bother with again. It is way overpriced and the food ( what little you get ) is not very good. I would eat at The Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill anytime before I would go back to this lousy restaurant . We had a party of 5 on our last visit and we even had to pay for our water, what a ripoff.

You paid for water?? Did you order bottled water? We had water with our lunch (and sodas too) last week and we were not charged for water. I'm not sure what you ordered, but the portions that we had last week were plenty big enough to share. Perhaps things have changed since your last visit?

Eat at this joint if you put a gun to my head.Lousy food rude service and $4.75 for a glass of water does not endear me to this place. We were treated like eat and get out you stupid americans. If this place serves good italian food Mc Donalds serves the finest hamburger in the world. They offered me a free meal on our next trip,I said that's what I want to come back for more bad service and lousy food.I said keep it and everytime I get the chance to tell folks our experience I will.

I would rate it a D for disgusting. I have had lunch there twice and dinner once over the past 7 years. I had the red sauce..UHHHHH....I would eat Ragu in a jar before I would try their cusine again. This is NOT what sauce is suppose to taste like! We have fabulous Italian restaurants where we live and this is just awful. If you are use to good Italian food skip this place. :(

I've seen a lot of mixed reviews of this place, but have honestly never had a bad experience there--the food and service have always been outstanding, and I grew up on my Italian grandmother's cooking! :D I guess it all depends on perspective--which I'm learning a lot from looking at these boards. It's good to have a lot of different perspectives!

We had always heard mixed reviews as well..so we didn't try Alfredo's until a couple of months ago...man...we wished we would have tried it much, much sooner. It was wonderful...the food, service and atmosphere.

We definately recommend this restaurant...we can't wait to return and try some more things on the menu...although I will probably order the same calamari appetizer...and pasta trio platter...yummy.

Don't forget to try a glass of limonciello with your dessert...excellent!.

We too avoided Alfredo's because of the reviews on this board, but DH wanted to try it on our trip a few weeks ago, and we loved it. It was one of the best meals of the trip! The fetttucine alfredo is outstanding and DH really like the lasagna. (Our table wasn't close to others' and we weren't charged for water.) It seems that people who have gone recently really enjoyed it, so I wonder if there was a change in the kitchen? Deb's site (wdwig.com) recently reviewed it and gave it a great review too.

Deb's website rated it only 2 stars! I was just there in July and it was awful. I guess I am just use to great Italian food! If you guys think Alfredo's is good you have to come to New York and try real Italian cuisine.

The review I saw was in Deb's AllEars newsletter and she said it was one of the best meals she's ever had at Disney. It really was a rave review. I thought it was also posted on her website, but I just checked and can't find a review of Alfredo's there. This review just came out a few weeks ago.
