What are your experiences and thoughts if you have stayed in either loop.

We arrive at FW in two weeks, wow are we excited!:cool1:

I hope that there are plenty of families with small kids on these loops.

I choose the premium loop for the cable tv. hehe :thumbsup2

The 200 loop is pretty tight. Convenient to the bathhouse and to the beach, etc. though. But if you're looking for some sights with room for kids to play, this isn't the loop.

Jan 2004 we stayed in 200 and really liked it. It is an easy walk to the settlement bus stop or the marina. Oct 2007 we stayed in 400 and liked it even better. It is about the same walking/biking distance as 200. The only problems I had with 400 were the noisy drunks on the goof carts at night. Our site backed up to the main road so request one on the inside of this loop.
I have no experience with 100 except I wouldn't like it because of all of the foot traffic(people from 200,:rolleyes1 400, etc...) using it to cut through. There is a foot/bike path you can use in loop 100 to cut down on your walk to the boats and we used it often when we were in loops 200 and 400. We stayed in loop 1400 in Jan 2008 and it is great, EXCEPT for FW bus service. It is a little far to walk to the settlement and boats, not a bad bike ride though. The sites are really big and there is a great place for the kids to play ball at the entrance to this loop.
The bus service in FW is terrible anymore. They have a new system and it stinks! Our avg. wait time in Jan. was 20 minutes or more just to get a bus from our loop to take to the outpost or settlement. Golf carts are great because it doesn't really matter what loop you stay in and you wouldn't have to worry about catching a bus at your loop. That is if you can bring one from home. You would have to be retarded or drunk to rent one in Orlando or at FW. It is NOT worth the price, but that is just my humble opinion!
My request for our Aug./Sept. 2008 trip will be loop 400 first then 200(never again 1400 because of the bus service). Oh btw, we are animal lovers who hate pet loops(not that it seems to matter anymore!) so 700 is out of the question but it is a great loop too!

Best of luck and I hope you have a great trip!:thumbsup2

I think it will be hard to predict the number of kids in any loop. We have stayed in 100 and 300. 100 is not a really big loop. I loved 300. It is an easy walk to the settlement, and there is a playground at the front of the loop.

300 loop is great for the kids, like ynottony99 said, it is a pet loop if that makes a difference to you. and BTW out of all the times we have been at the fort we have never been awakened by noisy drunks. the golf carts are great, a bit pricey, but if you can't afford one for the whole trip, one or two days is great so you can look at all the loops and the decorations people have thru-out the Fort. have a great time with the family...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am deciding between 200 and 1400 to request. We are renting a golf cart for the seven days that we will be there so transportation won't be a problem. :cool1:

I am getting more and more excited everyday!!:rotfl:

Well according to theflame, we must be both. (I won't repeat it, because I feel it is rude and should be edited). We have rented a GC every time, and love it. It is part of our FW experience. As far as the loops, we don't like the cable to we have been in 900 and 1800, 900 was DEFINITELY better. But I think any site at the fort is better than being home.

Have a great time, you will be happy where ever you end up.

Thanks RvUsa! I wouldn't camp at FW w/out the GC. :cool1:

What's money when you are at Disney. :rotfl2:

Hey RvUsa, my Dad is using your directions and making me a Mickey Lamp Post. Thanks, he is real excited. My step mom pasted away recently and Dad is just getting his head partly back on. He is excited to have a project to do for his granddaughter!!

Thats great that someone is doing it, if you or he has any questions please feel free to PM or email me on the website.... I have made 3 of them so far, and helped a few more. So it would be fun to help some more. And sorry to hear about your step mom, I hope a trip to the Fort will help ease some of the pain, and know that she is looking down enjoying your trip more than you are!

John

Oh ok thanks for showing what was posted before. That's just the Flames opinion. He was not directing the comment at anyone person, unless you ever rented a golf cart. Which I have not. (did not want to pay the high rental fees instead I paid 4 times as much and bought one.:confused3 )

Thanks, and yes that was just my:crazy: retarded opinion! I would love to have a golf cart at FW but the Fifth-wheel doesn't allow for it and I personally wouldn't pay FW rates, but to each his own!:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful trip and enjoy your golf cart!!!!!!!

Hay Flame you could always buy swivel wheel for the back of your 5er thats what I did. Then the golf cart loads on the back of the 5er. You just need to make sure your 5er weighs enough to handle the added weight of a golf cart. My 5er is really a little light come to find out.
