Looks like we decided on a date for 09

We just got back on Sunday but I can't NOT have another trip in the works LOL and we have to go at LEAST once a year so it looks like we are planning an April trip for 09. Originally we were going to go again President's week but we are going to Florida (Disney World) in November of this year. And it is just too soon after a big trip like that to go in February. SOOOO we decided to go during the kids spring break. I know I know we are probably nuts but we have gone on every other crazy busy time so we are used to packed parks and crowded touring. And that is about the only time in 09 we think we can swing it. Not to mention we have gone now for my other two daughter's birthdays and my youngest has never gotten to go during her birthday month which is April so this is a perfect opportunity. So I am now going to plan a trip during that week and going to make a ps for Goofy's kitchen and order her a cake like I did for my oldest.

I just am wondering now how soon I can book for that easter week. Anyone know? We will probably plan to stay at Desert Inn again and I know for this year we couldn't book for February till practically Jan. I can't remember exactly when it was but I know we had to wait a LONG time for the rates to come out. Anyone know when they usually come out with the rates for the NEXT year? Also how about booking for Goofy's kitchen? I know Disney world you can book 180 days out but is it only 60 days out at Disneyland? I forgot LOL.

Hi Kelly. Some places will do reservations a year in advance (like Hojo and some of the Best Western, but not the Park Place Inn), others wait until usually Sept-October before setting the price for the following year, then opening the entire year at once. Your best bet is to just keep checking starting in April and going from there. What I always do is if there is a great price at another nearby hotel I will book it, so that way I am guaranteed a good price even if its not at my first choice hotel.

Thanks Amy. Yeah that is kind of what I figured. And actually since we probably won't bother getting an Annual pass since that will most likely be our one and only trip in 09 I may just check with Getaway today and see what kind of deals they have. Of course I am sure for Easter week everything is going to be pretty expensive. But I am just glad I have something to look forward to at least. You and I think alike on that one I know Even if it is a year or more out it feels good just to know there is something out there!

I especially will be excited knowing how much the park will probably have changed by then (DCA that is). I am looking forward to seeing the changes!
