I've been waiting ... waiting ... waiting .... and have found nothing.

Finally, I decided to find out when I learned of the 2010 promo - the answer does not give one much hope :sad2:

YEAH i dont think they will do a give a day get a day type thing for a while..sorry

Never give up hope...maybe they have thought up something new and magical for 2011...I would at least wait until after the holidays to see if a new offer starts getting advertised.

2011 is the year of give us free advertising, and that seems like it...

Forget free admission... I want a free fastpass program. (i am so easy to please!)
Honestly, the free day promotions were offered during "the great recession" whatever. Disney executives found that attendance at Disneyland wasn't really hurt by the econmoy. Add that to the fact that the economy is *supposedly* improving, and i don't see why disney would give the park away for free.
Face it, as magical as Disney is, it is a business. They only offer freebies and promos when they have to. And it looks like they don't have to this year.

I just think it's interesting that there is almost an "expectation" of Disney offering a free admission method.

Remember the thrill and excitement that hit these boards when "Free on your birthday" was announced. Now it's almost an expectation. Interesting to me....

I don't expect it, I'm just really hopeful. We'll stay the same amount of days regardless...but what a treat it was last year to get the deal (especially considering I was buying PH's for 4 extra people).

The 5 for 3 promo would be nice, but as we were never able to use the biorthday ones they didn't matter to us. I wish that they would bring back old promotions like the use to back in the day. I remeber the Blast to the Past promo during the 80s where you received a game piece upon entering. We came home with a bunch of nice pins, a glow in the dark yo-yo, and a paddle ball game :)

just back from disneyland this past weekend. Carefully planned to avoid crowds.

Oh my. It was crowded. Line for It's a Small World was 68 minutes at 11 p.m. on Saturday night. Horribly crowded on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon to evening.

what economy problem?

They have discounted tickets for early next year.

They will NOT have the popular twofer this year due to DCA being so heavy under construction.

WHAT!! No twofer. That is my favorite thing. I wait all year for that promo. Oh well, I have a pass anyway. It is because I always take my grandkids for their birthdays and they don't have passes.

ITA!! In fact I try to avoid these promo threads because it kinda makes me mad that people now EXPECT a free day in DLR/WDW! :confused3

I don't expect anything...but incentives are nice kwim.

We won special fast passes one visit when they were doing the Year of a Thousand Dreams. That was fun, but not expected. We got to take advantage of 1 of the birthday visits. That was fun for my daughter, but not expected. It makes me feel like Disney cares that I show up...like a goody bag at a kid's party.

IDK, I'm in a funky mood today. Disregard if you want.

i imagine with all the construction at DCA, and the increase in attendance there the promos are going to be harder to come by

My friend and I received one too...all because we decided to take the quick exit out of Mickey's house :woohoo:

They are offering sweet military discounts next year, but since we have passes, it doesn't make a difference to us.

I get what you mean. Incentives are nice. I guess I've read too many of these threads on the WDW side of the board, plus the "Disney is going downhill", "Free Dining is ruining my trip...", etc. You caught me on the opposite end of that funky mood. :flower3:
