Just got back from the doctors and the preliminary is that I tore my ATFL- anterior talofiblular ligament- or something close to that spelling... I have to go to the ortho surgeon next week to follow up and get MRIs etc. but my doc is pretty certian thats what it is...
I'm sure walking on in for 5 days hasnt helped much at all...
So looks lik I'll get to spend my summer in an immobilizer and going through physical therapy... recoop time frame is 6-8 weeks so assumig I can get the surgery by mid June I should be back to myself by the time school restarts...
To all of my Fellow Fiends that will be there over teh 4th- there will be plenty of drinking and snacking at our site
as all I'll be albe to do is sit with my foot elevated

As far as how I messed it up... this particular time it was a pine cone that did me in
Matt and I were carrying our picnic table around to the front of our site last weekend. Since it was so wet I was worried bout the camper getting stuck in the quicksand- eer coquina so we put the camper in sideways and had to ring the table around to the front of the site- through about 8+ inches of swamp water that was hiding pinecones.
If thats the case- I will be at the Fort every given chance!!!! I wish FL had paid FMLA like NJ does... if my mom does take leave to come down here after my surgery, she can get up to 6 weeks paid leave... if FL had that, we'd be spending my entire recovery at the Fort!
