Hooray!!! When we were there 4 years ago, it was Ghost Galaxy and I was not a fan. I would rather go back to the plain original version then have Ghost Galaxy. I've never seen the Hyperspace version so this is even better!

I am in the minority here. I will now skip my October trip as I was only going for Ghost Galaxy. Hyperspace Mountain has been there my last two trips and I am over it. I will wait to go back now when the regular Space Mountain is back but I have a feelling they might now wait since we have to wait until January for the new ride so they will keep up the Star Wars excitement.

Hyperspace mountain is a 10/10 for me while the regular is a 7/10 and ghost a 5/10! Definitely makes the ride more enjoyable for me and for my girls (who have never seen star wars lol)

If we are talking about all time favorite Space Mountain it has to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers version. Not sure what it was called but it great.

I'm with you! The original is still our favorite. I haven't ridden Ghost Galaxy in years and I don't think I've ridden Hyperspace yet this year, although I'm at the parks weekly. My 21 year old son also feels the same.

It was Rockin' Space Mountain with Higher Ground playing. By far my favorite Space Mountain soundtrack.
I like Hyperspace, I think the current version of it is the second best one they've done. Most of the projections/lasers/etc seem to be towards the second half of the ride, there isn't much to see during the first half.
I love Ghost Galaxy, but regular Space is fun too. I'll take it any way it is when I go.

What was the first best version like??

The very first time they did Hyperspace, it seems like there were a lot more laser shots, more projections spaced out through the whole ride.. I don't know. Maybe I'm just remembering it fondly because it was new and they had never done an overlay for Space before. It does make a difference what seat you are in as far as which projections will catch your attention too, maybe I just haven't had the perfect seat on this one yet.
