Looks like Fantasmic is a go !

I am excited, it looks like one of Disney's "compensations" for two E-tickets being down is to run Fantasmic twice nightly during the holiday season ! Since we usually go either very "off" season or during the holidays....this is a big treat ! I haven't seen Fantasmic at DL for over 10 years !

I did just that...today!
I called at 8 am sharp for Friday, December 12 at 9 pm. We are so excited to see the show and fireworks from the balcony. I have a question, thou - I asked the CM who made our ressie if we were in the front row (I have read that this really makes a difference) and she said it is "first in line, first seated" and I asked if she was sure, cause I thought it was by order the reservation was made and she said no, we should plan on waiting in line by the balcony 45 minutes early. Has anyone seen the show from the balcony in the last week that can confirm how the seating really does work? Thanks for any insight

I will be at the same show as you - December 12th at 9:00 pm!
I am sure the seating is in the order the tickets were bought-
not when you arrive- thus my party is for sure in the back row.
But back row is better than no row! I think the CM was
mistaken.

Hope you got front row seats!

Is it confirmed that Fantasmic! is nightly - even during the week?? Would love to know since we are there Mon 12/15 - Fri 12/19 leaving in early evening on Fri so I thought we would miss it!

If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. Of course, Disney.com only shows it playing on weekends.

It use to be seating by when tickets were purchased. As far as I know, it is now first come, first seated. They take your name when you arrive. It was first come, first seated back in July '02 - and pretty sure it hasn't switched back.

I was just there and I know the CM's do sometimes provide incorrect information. The show was offered only on Friday-Sunday, although I don't know if they will add shows for the holidays. There were no fireworks when we were there at the end of October.

We had balcony seating. Your seats are based on when you purchased your tickets, not when you show up. But there are only 21 seats and it's not very crowded. While it is better to sit in the first row, there's nothing wrong with the second row. The second row allows you the opportunity to get up and move around easier. Since I was sitting so long I actually enjoyed being able to stand up and watch parts of the show. When you sit in the balcony there is a dessert buffet available. If you arrive early, there's a place to wait inside by the entrance to the balcony. But there's really no need to get there more than 30 minutes early since they don't start seating until then and your seats have already been determined.

They also offer priority seating on the ground. You get dessert in a box rather than on a buffet. In this case seating is determined when you check in. But there are only 50 seats so getting there very early is not that important.

Make sure your tickets are for the balcony, not the priority seating on the ground. For those who call and the balcony is full I would still recommend getting the priority seating on the ground. You get a seat and a reserved spot and you don't have to stand for hours. Enjoy. Tom.

The schedule shows it showing on the 14th, then again on the 19th when it starts to show daily through the Christmas season.
