You will be happy to hear I will unsuscribe so I don't have to answer or hear your remarks again, I probably wouldn't fit in with your grpup anyway, I don't drink, smoke or take unpaying pool time. I hope never to meet any of you there. Seems it is easier for people to be mean then kind.

Ummmmm.....let me see.... I have easily spent over 500 nights at FtW over the past 35 years and a lot of those times I didn't use the pool. So therefore, I think I've more than PAID for my pool time when I'm not actually staying there.

I am outraged by the way most of you are treating this lady she asked a simple question and all she got is a bunch of CRAP. What she is asking is not that unreasonable i put people on my reservation that are not of my family but are friends and they come with us every year and they pay half the site.I think most of you are putting way more into it then need be.I think what she is doing is trying not to break the rules and use the pools when she is not supposed to

2 posts and you're the dissing us??? How many strangers do you open your site to & then let them dictate the terms? Tell you what....next time you're at the Fort - come to the board & post your site #. All of us within an easy driving range will be right there so we can take advantage of you and dictate how YOU will use the site! We might even chip in a buck or two just so we have the right to dictate the terms. Good idea???

All of you are supposed to be Fort Lovers so therefore you would know that other parks are not the same. I would not do this if I had to park in overflow. I mentioned it would have to be the right situation like the person who contacted me that had 2 sites but only one vehicle. I am surprised all of the Fort regulars think it is okay for someone to use the pool there without being a paying overnight guest. I again never asked anyone for solutions and the ones offered have nothing to do with what I am looking for. I will post on another board as I am tired of this one, it is like talking to a brick wall. One person wants me to walk with my child on their bike all through Fort Wilderness and with my asthma I doubt I would live through it, another wants me to use the pool even though I will not be a paying guest which is totally unethical and another wants me to lug a cooler for a BBQ on a pavillion. This just irritates everyone, all I asked was for someone interested in sharing a site and then the details can be worked out with between us. Please moderator cancel this thread.

Oh dear God!!! 2 new people playing the "poor me"/"bad you" senario. Carol, pass me some uh dat crow & Shan, save me some uh dat dere wine. I think our dear K Killibrew has returned in another form.

Kinghorse - You have asthma, you can't carry a cooler or ride a bike. Why in the world do you want to go to FtW? Isn't using the playground just as much "stealing" as using the pool? And....BTW.... why do you want to go to FtW beach when the lake isn't open to swimming? Aren't using the roads to get to the playground also "stealing"???

A lot of people have offered their heart-felt advice and you just go on and on as to why that won't work. It's clear that FtW is not the place for you whether you share a site or just visit for the day. As for sharing a site...if you're the "tag-along", you don't get to make the rules, dearie. As for smoking - are you going to get an asthma attack if the guy next to the site you're on lights up? What if the next door neighbor has a dog??

Save yourself a lot of hassle and $$$ and go to a county park. Yeah, you're right...it's NOT FtW because FtW is a campground and not a day park. But your conscience will be at ease.
