Looking to purchase a "Disney" Sewing Machine, anyone out there know what I mean?

Not sure where else to post this.

I am currently in the market for a new sewing machine. The one I have is a Genie from the 70's & does just basic stitches.

I've heard there are some sewing machines out there that can sew the Disney characters. I want to do different fonts & embroidery. I'd like to keep it under $800.00 too if that helps.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi!!

There are a lot of sewers on the Disboutique thread under Disney for Famililes. I have a Disney Brother 270 and just upgraded to a Brother PE 770. On my disney machine, i found that I really never stitched out their preloaded designs very much, but preferred to purchase designs online (they were MUCH better - Heathersue on ETSY is my favorite). I upgraded to the 770 just last week because i wanted a bigger hoop and decided not to go with the preloaded designs this time. I got mine on HSN for a great price and flex pays!!!! it was under 800 too!!!

Thank you, I'm going to go check it out right now. I mainly sew costumes, dresses & curtains but wanted to start adding Disney appliques once the grandkids start coming

Ooooh, appliques by HeatherSue are the BEST! she is over on the disboutique board (you should head on over there - its lots of fun)! Also, have you ever considered helping with the Big Gives? You could practice your appliques!! The children and parents are just wonderful - they are all families going on trips due to life threatening illnesses. We'd love to have you join us!!

Right now we are doing a Big Give for Madison - her pre trip report is on the pre trip reports board.
