Hello WISHers!

I know it has been quite a while since I have posted here. Life managed to find a way to put my time WISHing on the back burner.

My dh recently started a new job which involved us relocating to a different state. During the chaos of ending the school year, selling a house, buying a house, (sneaking in a DCL vacation), I did okay staying on track. Life threw me a curve ball however, and I was recently diagnosed with MS. I have found an MS specialist here and will be starting treatments soon. I am happy to report that (unlike the neurologist that did the diagnosis) my MS specialist says I can restart traditional exercise and can get back to training for the marathon! WOO HOO! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc (I never thought I would be excited about being able to walk!)

Anyway, I just wanted to post and say HI! :wave2: I think enough boxes are unpacked that I can start WISHing again. :p I am really looking forward to getting back on track with exercise, and getting my weight back on the DOWNWARD move! :hyper: Plus, I need to figure out what happened to my clippies! ::yes::

Hi geetey! I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis but I think it's wonderful that you are getting back on track. Best of luck to you!

Welcome back, sweetie. I hope your physicians and medical treatments can keep this disease at bay. {{{HUGS}}}

Welcome back, Terry! I knew you were in the process of moving & I was wondering how you were making out. Glad to hear you are finally getting settled in. DH & I recently completed our own interstate move, & I know very well how exhausting & stressful it can be. You probably got a lot more exercise than you realize while packing & then unpacking all those boxes! I know I really got some exercise doing mine!

I'm sorry to hear about your MS diagnosis. It sounds like you've found yourself a good Dr. who knows what they are doing. Hopefully they will help you keep it under control. I'm glad to hear that you will be able to continue with your plans to do the 1/2 marathon! Although I will not be walking it myself, DH & I will be around to cheer you on! :cheer:

Terry -

Welcome Back!! I am fairly new to the boards so I would love to be a new face for you to talk to.

Sorry to hear about your MS but know that I am also carrying good positive thoughts for you.

Where did you move to?

Glad to talk to you

Have a Disney Day!!

Linda

Thanks for the welcome back, everyone!

Nancy, I hope you are settling in nicely. At least being close to WDW should help make the unpacking easier, eh? ;) My dining room is full of packing paper. We are on the third stack right now. The garage is full of stacks of boxes. Anyone want some moving boxes?!? :p

Linda, we moved from the Nashville TN area to the St. Louis MO area. We have family here so that has helped with the unpacking. My kids are having some troubles adjusting, however. I am hoping that the start of the school year will help since they will be able to be around children their own ages and make friends.

It's great to be back on the WISH boards and just feel the motivation of everyone!! :bounce: :jumping4: :bounce: :jumping4: :bounce:

Terry- WELCOME HOME AGAIN!

You should put those stacks of packing boxes in the newspaper and sell them! You'll be rich before you know. Save the paper too- people will buy it too!

Welcome back Terry! :wave2: It's nice to see you back with your fellow WISHers. Sorry to hear about the MS diagnosis. I'm sure that it will help you being back OP. Good luck to you! :goodvibes

Welcome Home Terry.
Sorry about your diagnosis. DH's cousin has MS and I have learned a lot about it through her. There is continuous progress in the treatment and I hope the new things will help you.
Glad that you are going through with the 1/2, this is great news. The docs certainly stress that importance of exercise to DH's cousin.
 to you as you get youself and family "on track" and unpacked.

((((TERRY)))) i'm so glad to see you again!!!

i too am sorry to hear about your recent dx -- but glad to hear you have found a great doc - that is soooo important as you know!::yes::

i need to get refocused with you -- i've been saying that ALL summer and not losing a pound! i have regained some and want it OFF! we can do this together:wave2:

Welcome back to St. Louis! Where in St. Louis? As you can see over on the left, I'm in Florissant.

Debbie:earsgirl:

I'm with you. We've had some stresses lately and weight watching wasn't one of my priorites the past month. But now that things are getting better I will be getting back on track. :)

Thanks for the welcome back, everyone! :wave2:

Debbie, we are living in Chesterfield, but still trying to get used to where everything is! My DH is working in Earth City and says he found a great walking trail off of Creve Coeur Mill Rd. I will have to check it out once the doctor allows me to start exercising outside.

If anyone has any ideas on how to unload these boxes, I would appreciate it! Even better if I can get some $$ for them! I will use the proceeds to fund my marathon trip! ;)
