My family is just beginning to look into buying a DVC.
What is involved in the tour or whatever it is called when you first go to look at the properties?

Are there bonuses offered for just looking and others for actually buying. Is this what Developmental points are?

When you make an appointment to talk about all of this, do you get driven around to several resorts? Do they offer you a meal? I would just like to know what to expect or what others have had happen to them.

My parents are looking into buying and I am trying to explain things to them as best I can.

At WDW, you will be picked up at your resort by a van and get taken to the DVC sales center at Saratoga Springs, where they have models of the rooms at AKV and SSR that you can see. Your sales "guide" will explain the program and cost structure. They will also explain the current incentives.

It takes about 90 minutes, depending on how many questions you ask and whether or not you decide to buy-in on the spot.

You'll get ice cream afterward and will be taken back to your resort or be dropped off at a park. I think they still give out special instant Fast Passes as well.
