I posted this on transportation boards as well, so hoping to get some good info.

We are looking to upgrade our GPS from current Garmin Streetpilot C330. Main features we would like as upgrade would be realtime traffic conditions, report of accidents and re-routing. Garmin unit has been fine, but is basic. We bought a Garmin 7500 that had XM radio capabilities, with the real pricey antennea. But was dissapointed in static on all stations. Not like our old XM SkyFi. It gets great reception!

So we are inclined to just replace GPS with above said features. Any help would be much appreciated. Nothing like hearing from the consumer on real feedback

We have the Garmin Nuvi 360 and love it. It has bluetooth so I can have it connect to my cell phone to make calls hands free. One night I needed to go to the pharmacy on the way home from work but wasn't sure how late they were open. DH searched for it in the directory and then you can hit he Call button and it called them.

Once it turned me the wrong way, but mapquest had the same wrong directions. Otherwise it's been very accurate. I love it when we travel and are looking for a grocery store or restaurant.

Two months ago I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 660. Excellent GPS. It comes with a free three-month trial of traffic warnings via Clear Channel. I also have XM radio and so listen to the traffice reports for Fort Worth-Dallas: I have found the GPS traffic warnings to be much more timely. Go to amazon and look up the nuvi 660 and read the reviews (including mine, which focuses on the traffic feature). After the three month period is up I will pay $5.00 per month, which is worth it. Of course, you must live in an area covered by the clear channel traffic.

My dh has the Garmin Nuvi 680 (or 660? oh shoot, I forget which one it is now!). Anyway, we got it at Costco for $349. It's has real time traffic for free for a year, Blue Tooth, a built in FM transmitter and an MP3 player. DH LOVES it!

Another satisifed Garmin Nuvi customer...not sure of the model # & DH isn't home so I can't go look.

Thanks to all. This really heads me in the right direction.

I'm a magellan fan myself. You do have to pay for the realtime info, which I don't. But it does have the re-routing that you are looking for. Plus bluetooth and many other things I haven't figure out how to do.

Look at the garmin 750 of above.

These models allow you to put in more than one way point. It is easier to plot routes.

Another Garmin fan. LOVE mine.
